“Honest, reasonable, and reliable. I've had lots of different services here, and all were done very reasonably. Years ago, my father, who worked in the automotive industry for over 35 years, told me that if you can find an honest mechanic who does great work, don't lose them. Once, when we took our kids to see Santa at the mall, our battery died, and Bryan came to the mall to give us a jump. That isn't even a service they provide. He didn't charge us either. This just shows what a great business they are! All the guys there are great, too. Each mechanic is skilled and certified. This is also a business that's been in our community for decades.”

“One customer above commented “They can see women from a mile away”…What’s your point? My mother’s 68 and she’s been going to Harry’s religiously for 20 years. She’s matter of fact and they are honest, respectful and have taken care of her fairly and consistently.After 20 yrs, Billy and his staff, such as Drew and company have been taking care of my vehicle needs and my parents’. Since high school with my first truck/vehicle, I was referred to Harry’s Auto in Folcroft by a good buddy, Jim D. from Secane, who is a mechanic himself. Jimmy had referred Harry’s because he said they were the most honest mechanics around Delco and that’s exactly why we’ve been going to them for 20 yrs. Consistent and honest shop. I can’t recommend these guys enough and just like any shop who does good, consistent work at prices that warrant these results, you have to give them lead time. 5 out of 5 stars over a 20 year span. Enough said.”

“I have taken my cars there several times for inspection, oil changes, engine, and transmission services and brakes. The job was always done on time. What I didn't know is the guy who ran the place wasn't doing any of the work. Well, typical business owners and workers. Until the owner, Steve which I and many of you liked began to have marital problems caused by substance abuse. Which left some customers ripped off, mortgage and taxes as well as the mechanics who were actually doing the work unpaid. Like many of you, I feel sorrow that the man they knew had fallen down this path, it is very sad. but the master mechanic Richard stepped up and took the reins and is doing what he always has done, fixing your car. So now that Steve is gone and we hope he finds the help he needs let's support Richard by continuing to have our auto's repaired by the actual person behind the curtain. Richard, we all wish you all the luck you need with your new business and will continue bringing our cars to you for expert repair at a fair price. I also understand that the station will begin pumping gas sometime in April.”

“I took my son's truck in for Pennsylvania inspection and asked the owner Chris to perform a list of extra work I felt needed to be done as the truck is 20 years old. He went over the list and assured me the work would all be completed and provided me with an estimate. I agreed and they took the truck in a day later. Due to the long list of work I requested, I expected them to have the vehicle for 2 or 3 days. Chris called me midway through day 3 and informed me that the shocks they ordered were running late and should get there later in the day and his guys would do their best to get it done. I told him I'd rather give them the truck an extra day so his guy doesn't rush through it. All the work was done and I picked up the truck and was given the bill. It was about $100 over the estimate and I understood why. The older vehicles sometimes other things pop up and add to the time. Hence, "estimate". I felt I was treated fairly and honestly. 2 weeks afterwards, there was an issue with the air conditioning system that I discussed with Chris I felt could have been caused as a result of something being disconnected while the work was performed. He agreed and took the truck in immediately and remedied it within a few hours at no charge. I felt that way very fair. I will use this shop again in the future because I felt like I was treated well and I was happy with the workmanship. It's extremely difficult to find a shop that makes you feel comfortable using and although I've been using this location for 5+ years, this was my first time with Chris as the new owner. “Brought my car here for a new alternator. Nadir does honest work. My car had recently been inspected and he showed me issues that I should have been warned about by the other shop and wasn't. I had a mis understanding because my wheel lock was misplaced (by me although I thought it was in the car). Although he was able to work around it and fix the problem without removing the wheel. I've had mechanics screw me in the past and we all know how they can be. Here is not one of those places. It is a family run business and he will explain everything to you in detail and fix your problems appropriatly. I highly recommend bringing your car here for any needs.”

“When I tell you this is a top notch business I mean it. We broke down on our way to a wedding, we called desperate for someone to see our car. Denise was so kind and let us come over. They checked out our car and told us where eat and have a beer while we waited. They fixed our old car for a reasonable price and on time. They told us an hour and a half and it was just under 90 minutes. Finding a mechanic that keeps its word in this day and age is rare. We wish we were locals or they were closer to us. If we ever have car problems in the Philadelphia area we will only go to MacGarrigle.”

“I always appreciate a Technician who goes the extra mile. I went in for an oil change and a free car wash on a recommendation from a friend. The technician not only completed the oil change but noticed two areas that needed immediate attention. My car had been idling high, running hard and sucking gas like a new born baby being breast fed. Given the fact that the car made an uncomfortable noise I went with one of the two additional recommendations and the sound was gone. The other recommendation given was not addressed at Wash N Lube because that work was done at another shop and apparantly not well. Since it is still under warranty I'm taking it back to get it done right. I definitely love a mecganux/technician who goes the extra mile. By the way the car wash was impeccable. I will be back at Upper Darby WashNLube.”
