Every time I go into this thrift store they refuse to sell half their stuff while simultaneously talking about how they have $10.000 in pet medical bills they’re frantically trying to pay. If it’s really about the dogs and people are donating to help stop hoarding your items away from people who want to help. This is truly the third time I have picked an item up and had it taken away from me.

I’m writing a review solemnly based on their Adoption or foster process they are absolutely ridiculous the checklist of things that you must have is totally saddening it makes no sense the average couple or family has at least one child I wouldn’t recommend this place to the devil they don’t care to help animals they are completely a waste of time and very judgmental so don’t even bother to waste ur time and their adoption fees are expensive on top of their so called requirements ! I hope this place gets shut down or stop being funded soon !

Walked in and everyone seemed nice at first but quickly became pushy until they were downright rude. The workers were just sitting around and one of the workers started to make passive aggressive remarks towards me and my partner who did nothing to antagonize this person. None of the other workers did anything to correct this person's rudeness. We soon felt unwelcome there and returned the items we were going to purchase and made our exit. It's sad that people who are supposed to be working somewhere out of the kindness of their hearts can be so mean to people who are coming to spend their money for a good cause. They also charge outrageous prices for stuff that was given to them for free, a DONATED sofa was $250 was really looking forward to shopping here.?

Everyone involved with this organization is beyond an incredibly altruistic angel. I found them through a Facebook Watch video. I raced over there to purchase what they were showcasing. I donated 3 cases of high quality wet Catfood, since my cat had died. I was still in mourning and not ready to adopt another cat yet. I also donated some hovercraft boards, my kids had no interest in them. I prefer to donate things to an organization than sell for myself. At the time I wasn't even aware of everything they do. At some later time , I saw a news story all about the things they support. I will forever be a fan, and send everyone I know that thrifts or looking to donate directly to them

Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the kind volunteer staff and rescue pups☺️ The store was clean, well organized and the prices were fair while benefiting a noble cause. Definitely one of my new favorite thrift stores, looking forward to returning, donating & recommending to my fellow thrifter friends!

Went for the first time today and can't wait to go back again. There's a really interesting selection of items at fantastic prices and the people are lovely. Also dogs. There are dogs. Shopping helps the dogs through money but also patting dogs. A worthy cause for donations if ever there was one.

I adopted two dogs through Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh and had both meet n greets at the Thrift Store. I have also gone there to purchase purse and cash bash tickets. Anytime I've been there, it's been clean and well stocked with a very friendly staff. A great place doing great things for animals in need!

Main reason I don’t like this place is the owner acts like a child on social media about applicants and is disrespectful to a lot of them yet most the things they negatively comment about certain applicants there doing worse. They make money off selling unwanted dogs and then call it saving animals…. Again to the owner who crys on social media grow up and get over yourself you are no better then the applicants you cry about your not saving the starving your adopting dogs legit grow up

I'm truly furious and deeply upset by my experience with animal lifeline. (I am posting this here because they have disable leaving reviews for the shelter) I found an amazing dog for adoption here. I submitted my application and no response, so then I emailed, I sent a message on Facebook, I called and nothing. They then reposted the dog I kept trying to get a hold of them about and I commented on the post saying I kept trying to get ahold of them. Finally I sent them one more message on Facebook. After two weeks I got a response on Facebook. The message (after all of my attempts to call and ask questions etc) was just saying sorry your yard isn't fenced in on four sides so you are denied. I own my home and had explained in the application that we had just bought the home two months ago (in winter) and would be fencing the yard in in spring. They said they didn't care then said several other judgmental and rude things then they blocked me on Facebook. I know it must be difficult to sort through applications and figure out who will treat animals well but this shelter is difficult to get a hold of and staffed by volunteers who are extremely judgmental, unkind, rude, and who seem to not have a brain in their heads. They are preventing animals from having good homes.
