“I'm a member; I have been for 3+ years. This gym has every thing you need to get in shape for the first time or stay in shape if you're already an experienced trainee. The premises is very safe & well maintained with more than adequate parking.
The club itself is clean with very clean bathrooms; equipment is very well maintained in terms of both functionality & cleanliness.
They offer cardio equipment such as 6 treadmills, and 6 elliptical exercise machines.
As for weight lifting equipment, they offer dumbbells from 5-100 pounds, as well as resistance bands of all resistance levels for all trainees.
Snap Fitness also offers a a bench press, an incline bench press, a Smith machine (which can be used to perform virtually any type of exercise), and a decline bench press, among other equipment available on site. These items are all very popular.
The gym also offers many machines that simulate all types of weight lifting exercises.
The gym's manager offers limited group fitness classes. He is very knowledgeable about matters of fitness; in addition, he is quite the pleasant conversationalist. I've always known him to very helpful, patient and gentle with beginners; however if you are an advanced trainee who needs someone to push you, he can do that also. I'm sure Todd would love for you to join his group class.
Most people are too busy working out to even notice you anyway. There is no 'gym intimidation' or judgement; It's just not that type of environment.
Members run the whole range of shapes and sizes. It really doesn't matter what you look like as long as you have a nice attitude and go there to work out, no one will ever have a cross word or a nasty look for you.
It is a very comforting environment. in fact, I had my mother join a few months back she is in her mid 60s and not in good shape. She had never actually worked out in her life. She just went in to the gym and started her workouts very light, such as walking on the treadmill at 2.0 miles an hour for only 10 minutes, and nobody looked or said anything. She had said previously that she was intimidated to go there because everyone would be in better shape than her, as well as younger; well she quickly found out was not true. Within 2 or 3 visits, she felt totally comfortable there; and she goes every day ?.
All ages are happily welcomed & accepted! Just this morning, I worked out alongside a woman in her 70s, 2 others likely in their 60s, several gentlemen in their 50s, & a man in his late 30s. Other times, I find myself working out with high school or college students, as well as young professionals. I'm 40 and have a very wide cross-section of friends at the gym.
The gym is never crowded; I often go at various times of day or when is convenient, but never at a set time. And I have noticed the least crowded times are about 1 pm or
4 pm. At those times, you are highly likely to be alone, or have 1-2 others sharing the facilities with you.
The most crowded times are 11 am or 6-6:30 pm. Even then, you are likely to be sharing the gym with possibly as many as 12-15 other trainees. And the gym is capable of comfortably accommodating about 30 trainees. Crowding is never an issue.
The fact that the gym is open 24 hours/day prevents a big log jam at typically busy times. You can go easily at 5 or 6 pm when most people are rushing to 'hurry up and wait' at their gym, and have a great workout at your gym, not being hurried along, waiting for equipment, & generally having an unpleasant experience.
I've never had to wait more a minute to use equipment. People will let you 'work in' with them. Sharing is the norm.”
“I've been going to Alphalete for years. The trainers, Dylan and Tyler, are amazing people who show equal dedication to their work and your goals. They are both extremely knowledgeable, caring, passionate, and hardworking. I now consider both of them friends. The environment itself is clean and welcoming. I was never one for the gym or for working out, but years ago I decided to change that by joining Alphalete and it has been one of the best decisions I've made. Working with Dylan one-on-one and through the classes I have felt encouraged, motivated, and no judgement as I strived to achieve my goals with his help. It's his knowledge, dedication, and humor that has guided me through each session or class. Even on days I could barely get myself there, I left feeling sweaty, good, and motivated while often laughing with Dylan. It's truly the kindness, understanding, and zero-judgement I have felt at Alphalete and from the entire staff that I have achieved my goals and continue to look forward to the next workout. Thank you, Alphalete!”

“I’ve known Alex and followed Wallace Fitness Center for years, I’ve seen many high caliber athletes improve their strength and conditioning tremendously working with him. I personally know many of his gym members and they absolutely love it there, the facility is top notch and has a great atmosphere!”
“Really great experience! Appears to be primarily female lead which my daughter is super receptive to. Great instructors all around. Extremely reasonable pricing and convenient class schedule. Intro class was 1 on 1 which eased all our unfamiliar minds. The little ninjas group (4-6 year olds) is a lot of skill focused games to keep them interested. Sibling discounts available.
Started showing them self defense. Really hard to watch and think about a 4 yo needing that but so important. Demonstrated it in a very safe manner. Taught when it was appropriate to use.
Highly recommend”
“My wife was attending Tedesco Body Shop her personal trainer was NAT. She asked me to attend her fitness training sessions. This is what I learned over the past few months about why you need a good fitness trainer:1. Knowledge – Nat is very knowledgeable in his field. This saves me time on researching workouts. Nat is passionate about helping you become a better version of yourself.2. Motivation – Nat takes his job serious. Nat is always in an upbeat mode. He is approachable.3. Listens – Nat listens when I say I have pain. Nat finds ways to adapt the training routine around the pains I may be experiencing. He is flexible to my issues on the fly.4. Nat shows great Empathy and patience when teaching new fitness routines. All in all, I have found a knowledgeable fitness trainer that listens. My work outs will continue to be at Tedesco Body Shop.”
“Dean’s Fitness is the only affordable and great gym in Murrysville. I highly recommend this gym.All the equipment and bathrooms were clean and Dean, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful.10/10”
“Truly could not ask for a better gym or community of members. The coaches are all incredibly knowledgeable and able to provide great feedback to help improve your performance, and the members are so supportive, friendly, and happy to see you succeed. Owners Jamie and Adam have done a wonderful job of cultivating a great and positive environment! Couldn’t imagine working out anywhere else!”
“This is the perfect place to exercise: not crowded, knowledgeable and encouraging staff, affordable prices, and all the right equipment. On top of that, it's close to home!”

“Was in town for the Pittsburgh Pro and stopped in to train! Awesome, hardcore facility. Great music and the perfect atmosphere to lift heavy! Will definitely go back for a good lift next year!”
“My buddy invited me to drop in at CrossFit Tantrum while I was near Pittsburgh, and the experience absolutely did not disappoint. From the start, the vibe was welcoming and laid-back in the best way. I jumped into open gym and got to throw down with some truly amazing humans—people who work hard, encourage each other, and clearly love what they do.
The atmosphere struck a great balance between intensity and community. Everyone was locked in, getting after it, but still taking the time to connect, joke around, and make a drop-in feel like part of the crew. That kind of culture doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built intentionally, and it shows.
If you’re in the Pittsburgh area and looking for a gym with strong energy, good people, and a place where effort and camaraderie go hand in hand, CrossFit Tantrum is absolutely worth the visit.”
“Nice clean place to work out. Tons of equipment, everything you need. Locker rooms and showers/bathrooms are very clean. They also offer tanning and hydromassage with Black Card membership. Friendly staff. They do have beverages there for purchase as well, and other gym needs like sweat towels, bags, water bottles, tanning lotion, etc.”
“This is my go to gym, full of good vibes and nice staff. I attend training classes with some of the most experienced trainers. I recommend this gym, they have a variety of fitness options. Thanks Fit But Fit Crew!”
“Today was my 2nd anniversary as a member. I joined after a friend convinced me I could do it (even though I had my doubts) & that age and fitness level doesn’t matter. I did a trial and will not deny my body could tell I wasn’t in great shape. But… I stuck out the trial and signed on for 6 months. Best decision ever! My friend was right when she said it gets easier. (still can’t do more than 1 double under but can just about do a pull up unassisted) The environment is so welcoming with great staff and trainers but the other members are what really make it fun. We are all in it together and cheer each other on like the family we are. I don’t have young children but the child watch is great for the parents who bring their children while they work out & the children who have fun playing and engaging with other children. If you are looking for a gym that is for anyone (guys & gals) regardless of their fitness level consider a visit or a class. The trainers will help with any modifications you need for any reason. You got this!???”

“The cardio classes that Kristy teaches are great!! She is an excellent coach, she goes above and beyond. The atmosphere is great and I’ve never been so consistent with the gym ever until now!”
“Love that I can just pay for a drop-in and not have to have a monthly membership. My daughter plays next door and this gym is perfect for my workouts during her practices.”
“This place is fantastic. My in-laws live nearby and I've dropped in a ton. Classic CrossFit programming with super nice people in an extraordinarily clean and well kept facility. Owner Dave couldn't be more welcoming or nice to guests. Big fan.”

“Most people say that when you are older, you become invisible. That is not the case at OTF. The coaches and staff members are very welcoming, personable, and encouraging. The coaches never hesitate to correct your form when needed or help you adjust an exercise based on a personal limitation. OTF is a challenging workout but the only one you are competing with is yourself. Thanks Monroeville OTF, you are awesome!!”
“This is the best gym ever, weather it’s cleanliness it hospitality from the staff and management to the equipment and even the new hours, north huntingdon nht takes the cake when it comes to top tier gyms thanks for what you do guys”
“I love this gym and everything about it. From the staff, to the equipment, down to the shows they play on the tv. The only concern I have is the fact that they don’t allow their employees to sit down at all. I come pretty late at night and it bothers me that when it’s completely dead they aren’t allowed even a stool. Maybe something to think about as I feel that’s pretty demoralizing.”
“I was here for a week and had a great experience. The gym offers a wide variety of equipment, all very clean and well-maintained. The crowd was respectful, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!”

“Thinkin bout gettin a membership and start back workin on gettin back in shape now that I am clean again and doin good. Just ready for the next step in my life to help other things fall into place.”
“I enjoy the gym. My home gym is McMurray they have tons of machines to use. And one by my house in Robinson is good too. Every time I try a different gym. The building is brand new and new equipment and barely have any machines to work with. I came in to do shoulders and few legs and had enough machines.”
“The objective of this review is to post both pros and cons through my personal lenses. However, the critiques are weighed and affirmed by either the staff or other locals.
Pros: I explained to Jay (an employee) some special circumstances and he showed me a lot of empathy by helping extend my guest pass. His compassion and interpersonal skills were the highlight of my experience at AAFH. The basketball courts are hardwood and the workout area is almost always empty. I appreciated those things. Price $55 compared to $265? is decent.
Concerns: It’s a fieldhouse, so don’t expect pools or showers. (Maybe one day?) But it’s designed for play and practice. I hope to someday play flag football the turf. Hard to find pick-up game of basketball if you’re looking for that kind of thing. I had a difficult run-in with one member of the staff. He (or she) might want to try softer with guests. The sharpness is a bit jarring.”
“I have been a member at this gym since it opened. Dave, who is the manager is excellent to work with, and Carrie is an excellent trainer who I couldn't recommend more.”
