“This is the ORIGINAL and FIRST beer store in Carbon County, and nothing else can even hold a candle to this beer store. I spoke with the owner. He’s been in the beer business since he was 13 years old. 40 plus years later, he’s still running a store with a massive selection, nonstop bar deliveries, and service so solid they delivered beer to my graduation party within hours. If you need something specific, they’ll order it without blinking. I drive from Allentown just to buy here because it’s the only place run by people who actually know what they’re doing.

And to be clear, the other Jim Thorpe beer store doesn’t compare. It’s a tiny, overpriced, get-rich-quick scheme with a selection that barely fills a wall and employees who act like they’re still in high school. I don’t even bother talking to them. If you want real experience, real inventory, and real service, this is the only beer store worth your time.

Oh yeah, and Mason Cold Beer… the other place should be called mason warm beer. Maybe their fridges were messed up that day, I don’t know, but I grabbed a 24 pack of Miller to take up to my cabin in the Poconos and the cans were so warm they ended up breaking my little cabin fridge trying to cool them down”

“This place is super convenient if all you need to do is pick up some beer... Obviously as small as it is you don't have every choice in the world but if they have your beer, You're good to go.. You just roll in roll down your window tell the guy what you want and he puts it in your car.”

“I am not a drinker, I ran in here because I am supplying the booze for shots at a party. I just was lost, I didn't know where anything was and the gentleman working was so kind and took some time to tell me what different things were and what was higher end and what wasn't. It was perfect!”

“If you are in the Poconos near the Jim Thorpe area, a craft beer drinker, and looking for great IPAs, THIS is the place to go! The owner, Josh, knows his IPAs. I entered the store thinking I was getting a standard PA brewed IPA, but I left with stuff from Commonwealth, Drekker, Cushwa, and a Vermont brewed beer (the brewery name escapes me). In the craft beer dessert that is this area of the Poconos, Josh is your guy.”

“Great selection, staff is very nice and prices are pretty fair. Someone had mentioned that they “lock you in” but only the entrance is locked to prevent more people than allowed because of covid. They are no longer doing that though.”

“They have a very wide selection of products. They also sell bottles individually so you can mix and match your own six-pack. Paul the owner is very friendly and he even took the time to tell us about some great places in albrightsville to take our kids to play. Definitely going back here whenever we visit the Poconos”
