Negley Park is a small community park and hidden gem suitable for any time of year. It is in a quiet location and offers excellent, impressive views of the Harrisburg skyline, City Island, and downtown, making it a favorite place for observing the skyline and watching fireworks. The park has playgrounds that are safe for children with plenty of equipment, a sand area with diggers, a basketball court, ball fields, and tennis courts. It features covered pavilions, picnic tables with grills, and bench seating, making it a good place for a picnic or potluck. The park is dog-friendly, though the field is not pet friendly. Parking is plentiful, though the access road is narrow and steep. Park grounds and portable toilets are clean and well-maintained.
