“As a frequent patron of this wine and spirit establishment, I have generally encountered friendly service, with one exception. Upon approaching the counter, I observed the clerk efficiently processing the transactions of the two customers ahead of me, placing their items in bags, and providing receipts with a polite farewell. However, when it was my turn, the cashier processed my purchase without offering a bag, instead asking if I wanted one after printing my receipt. His demeanor suggested an expectation that I would decline, and he appeared ready to dispose of the receipt. I felt discriminated against, as he had not offered the same courtesy to the preceding white customers. Moreover, as I exited, I noticed him greeting the next customer, processing her transaction, and placing her items in a bag without inquiry. His actions and inactions conveyed a subtle yet discernible discrimination. I subsequently contacted the manager, who listened attentively and assured me that she would investigate the incident using the security cameras and address the issue, emphasizing her commitment to maintaining a discrimination-free environment. I appreciated her understanding and prompt response.”
“I had a great interaction with a gentleman who works in produce today! I reached under one of your small signs to get a container of mushrooms and the sign cut my arm. Kylar was standing beside and noticed my arm bleeding. Without hesitation, he said I will be right back with a bandaid. Not only did he bring a bandaid, but an alcohol wipe as well. He was so kind. I hope he can be recognized in some way for being an outstanding employee.”
