“A year ago I brought a tiny 2 week old abandoned kitten to Donegal Animal Hospital and they gave him the best care! They were so kind and gentle, treating him like he was their own pet. I had called around to several vets and no one had immediate openings, but Donegal graciously allowed me to book an appointment that started in 10 minutes when I lived 20 minutes away. Thanks to them, he is happy and thriving today!”

My only issue, which is very minor, was when I was picking him up at the time scheduled I was lead to a room and waited 25 minutes before anyone came in to explain things (because the time of pickup was scheduled I did not expect to wait however I do understand that things come up that need immediate attention)

“I am the owner of a behavioral Dog training company in Lancaster county, And one of my clients who has a highly reactive dog… Human reactive and dog reactive… Was kind enough to reach out to me this past weekend and share with Me her wonderful experience with Dr.Le and his nurse in handling, examining, and diagnosing their highly reactive dog. My client sent me pictures of her dog in the office on muzzle looking calm and comfortable… Here is what she texted to me, “Dr. Le was able to do a thorough exam on him. His nurse was very calm and patient with him. She was by his side the whole time and he even laid down for his Xray. And when I told them that (our dog) can be reactive with strangers, they told me to call when I got there and they would bring us in the side/back way. He did great entering the quiet hallway instead of a lobby. I would definitely recommend them for reactive dogs! ❤️”. “All three of my cats go to this vet, and all I can say is I could not be more grateful that this is our vet. My cat was spayed here, the surgery went well and I received not one but TWO voicemails from them updating me, that is how thorough they are. Unfortunately she had a seizure as she was being handed over to me, she was immediately taken back zero hesitation, this was probably from the anesthesia I was told. My reaction was very bad due to severe anxiety disorder, and Dr. Kapolka came outside to talk to me about it, and did his best to inform me and reassure me without making any false promises or telling me any lies, which I hate when doctors do that. He kept her for a little while longer to monitor her and treated the seizure with meds, I took her home and she went crazy, ran around and fought with another cat after escaping her crate before I could isolate her. The stitches held after all that, the wound is healing so well, she leaked a little bit of blood for a few hours but I’ve seen that some cats leak for days. I’ve looked up other spay incision photos for reference and it seems that real care went into the incision, as some of them look really roughly done. They sent me records right away (unlike another vet we’ve dealt with, where they want to charge for records and take five days to make a copy for you, and say that’s typical when we all know it’s not, I’m looking at you vetting zoo) when I asked for them so I could send my job proof of the seizure as I stayed home the next day with her to monitor her. They’re just really on point. Dr. Kapolka is great, the techs are great, the receptionists are great, every single person I’ve dealt with here has been amazing. Also they have an office cat. Bonus points”

“I had an emergency with our dog on a Friday afternoon and our vet wasn't able to get him in. I called 4 local vets in a panic including Lititz Vet. None had any time in their schedule to see him. About an hour later Lititz Vet called me back and asked if I could bring him in right away. I took him in and I was so impressed because they had already contacted our regular vet to get my dog's medical history so there weren't any delays in treating him. Everyone from the front desk to the doctor to the vet tech were so helpful. The vet took very good care of our dog.”

I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is absolutely amazing - I had to come in many times over several weeks for my cats wound care and Dr. Purvis was wonderful. I didn’t feel pressured over things and she always was helpful and walked through what was going on with my cat’s care and improvement. I also had to bring in my kids several times and they have a play area and were extremely accommodating. I brought my 5 month old in each time and the ladies were always so helpful with getting me to my vehicle or being a helping hand. It can be stressful as a mom needing to take your children places and they were so kind and caring I truly appreciate it. I wish I found hempfield animal hospital years ago!”

And hopefully come fall I can schedule for our female kitty to be spayed. ❤?We recently had a passing of a very loved kitty cat, and it was quite confusing as much as it was heart breaking.The ladies at Pet Day Surgery gave me much needed confirmation and healing that my heart ever so desperately needed.Yes, they had the opportunity to meet and neuter our kitty Onyx De'sol.When confronted about his passing, it took all I had to remain strong emotionally because I wanted to scream and cry because of all this pain that as a cat mom I've been forced to hold in for so long...However both the ladies spoke with me about what happened, and expressed their condolences. I had said I send a hug and smiled, thanking then for everything and all.And I said I needed to walk away before I started crying...And I got a hug from a woman who is passionate about her job as a vet,A woman of whom also has her own cats and knows all too well the pain left in our hearts when we lose a fur baby....I got a hug nobody else could give me... a hug nobody else would give me...But she did.As well as she helped me gain confidence about having one of our cats get spayed...And I am just so grateful for her. I believe her name is Tammy.Tammy is the fellow cat mom and vet that gave me a hug that I needed to mend unseen wounds...I don't know the name of the other woman who was there but she was just as polite.Like I said in the beginning of my review. .. I recommend Pet Day Surgery to anyone and everyone in need of an affordable vet to take care of their fur babies.Because they truly do care,They are gentle with your pet,And they'll answer any and all questions you might have.”

“The wellness plans are great! To know your fur child is fully covered for vaccines, boosters and visits for a reasonable monthly fee is worth it! Doctors and staff are awesome but we have our favorite. Dr. Polito won me over when my dog needed medicine. It was expensive and though I'd have gladly paid it there was no way to be sure we could get her to ingest it as she's so tiny and has had problems swallowing pills in the past. Dr. gave us a much cheaper and honestly much healthier alternative that we could get in liquid form from GNC. She gave us a few tiny syringes and a dosage amount...it was literally like 3 drops, shes that small. $12 and it worked! They truly care about your animals as if they are their own and want them to be well, not just sell you on unnecessary drugs. Was another time they recommended a drug. I forget what it was but its how we discovered she couldnt swallow pills. I tried everything I could think of to get her to take it to no avail. Doc was honest and told me that while it was recommended, it was really only necessary in certain parts of the country and that my dog was probably safe without it. I recommend Bandield wellness plans to everyone I know with a fur child! Several have taken me up on it and they are also very happy with the staff, service and price! Thank you Banfield for taking such good care of our babies! It's been almost 12 years and we couldn't be happier! ?

Edit to add....14 years now and still very happy with Banfield! Dr. Polito has been seeing my kids since they were babies and she is truly amazing. So thankful for her and the rest of the staff! Called today to schedule appointments for all 3 kids and Samantha heard my dogs name and described her asking if that was her! She remembered her and said they all love her and can't wait to see her at her appointment. They truly treat my pets like family and for that i am so grateful!”
