The Railroad House Inn
280 W Front St, MariettaThe inn is beautiful, and still was very comfortable despite its age. The check in process was smooth and quick. It was very laid back and everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaurant looks great as well, but my stay was not during its opening hours unfortunately. It seems like it would be worth a visit regardless of staying overnight, and staying in the inn is similarly worthwhile as well even without a visit to the restaurant. It's walking distance to most things in town and is right next to the river trail. If you are in the area or looking for an interesting small town to visit, I would recommend the Railroad House Inn. I was in room 7, it was quiet and cozy, it has a very effective window AC which worked perfectly during the heat.

40 E Front St, MariettaWe were there on a Tuesday afternoon and we're the only folks there. A little rustic but the bartender (who was also the server and, hostess etc.) was friendly and helpful. We sat outside with our pup and had a very nice lunch. Our pup select the chicken from the dog menu (yes they have a menu for the dogs) and she really enjoyed it
