“I love coming to City of Paws Pet Care for the self- wash. The staff are very kind and helpful throughout the session. I love how you pay based on the time you spent in the baths. This is helpful for me because I will overestimate how much time it will take to wash my large dog in the event she is not as cooperative as I would hope.”

“Brought my dog here & he loves it. Bacon ice cream, vanilla ice cream & blueberry ice cream he tried. Nice gear & accessories & they have tons of treats you can get in a doggy bag. A tad bit pricey but its downtown center city so prices are going to be a bit high. A small shop that speaks volumes. I recommend for anyone who wants to doggy date with their pup”

“If you have a dog, you need to get yourself here! I am so in love with this sweet shop and will be stopping by every time I am in Manayunk, which is usually with my pooch since it's on our way back from hikes at the Wissahickon. This bakery has a play area which I didn't even realize until I went to write this review, and they also have the cutest cookies, treats, accessories, and goodies for your dog. The staff here was the absolute sweetest and the vibes are just very good. My dog was so happy to be there and thoroughly enjoyed her St. Paddy's Day "lucky" cookie later that day. They were having a dog party later in the day, replete with doggie beer (LOL) treats, and playtime. I am so happy to know this business exists and will absolutely be getting my dog's birthday cakes and treats from here moving forward. An excellent addition to the already very dog-friendly Manayunk. Feel free to replicate my new dream Saturday: long hike at the Wiss, brunch on a patio, and a stop by this awesome shop. Tell your dog I say hi!”

“This was our first time at Ham + Bone Fishtown but I think we’ve found our spot! Jayla did such an amazing job with Samson and checked in with me throughout his time there which was greatly appreciated. When I picked him up I could tell that he was very comfortable. “Absolutely excellent!Ham + Bone has been an amazing groomer for our pup. We have a fluffy corgi and his hair grows quick. He also sheds enough for us to have 6 corgis! But they take care of him so well and his fur always looks soooooo good. We give him baths in between his grooming sessions and they take him to the next level! Henry also loves them! Even when we're just walking by the shop, he's always trying to go inside and see some of his favorite humans!”

It is not an overnight process, so do not expect you animal to be perfect immediately. Some of us have to spend more money than others. “Francisvale is such an incredible shelter! We were looking at a kitten online and after some very kind phone calls & emails we came into the center to meet him. It is very clear that the animals are extremely well cared for and the staff loves them. In particular, Cristina and Dorothy were so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. We adopted our kitten, and they were so excited to see him go to his forever home. A few days after the adoption I was hoping to get some advice regarding making sure he felt completely comfortable and at home and both Cristina and Dorothy were quick on the phone with me with some incredible advice and ways to ensure he became acclimated quickly. They also followed up a few days later to confirm that things were going well. I have never had an experience so comfortable and kind, and it is so clear that this place is not about just getting animals to a home, but pairing animals to the correct family and lifestyle. I could go on and on, but you just have to go in and experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.Just a warning they do not do same day adoptions. Though, any animal lover would know that this is a sign of an extremely reputable shelter, as it gives families the opportunity to consider hard if a pet would fit comfortably into their life. Same day adoptions lead to much higher rates of animals placed back in shelters due to decision making based on emotions.”
