We stayed here just passing through. It’s your typical cheap 2 star hotel, It did its job.
The room was clean enough, the bathroom was honestly a mess, pipes leaking on the floor, mold everywhere and spiders. However the bed was spotless, clean and bug free which is all I care about. Breakfast was decent for the place too. So yes it’s run down and ugly but it’s clean where it matters

Nice staff, stores for food, fuel & supplies within walking distance. Room appeared clean at first but was filthy with closer inspection. Holes in walls, stains on the bedding. Overpriced for what you get.

Don’t stay at this hotel unless you want to try and get scammed. I tried to buy two bottles of water and they charged my credit card $350 dollars.

We were not at all satisfied with our stay. The hotel and room that we stayed in needed a lot of maintenance. Management does not seem to be working very hard to make this property up to standard. The state of this hotel was not what I expected for a franchise in United States. I am very disappointed in Best Western.
Inside our room:
• We requested a pet-free room due to my girlfriend being allergic to dogs and cats. She got an allergic reaction on her skin, so I think pets had previously stayed in this room.
• The curved shower curtain rod was loose from the wall, so the curtains would not stay shut. They kept sliding down the curved bar and this ended up getting water on the floor of the bathroom.
• The shower head was broken and had very little flow, we needed to stand under it so that it dripped on top of us.
• The towel rack was bent down, so the towels would barely stay on the rack
Outside our room:
• Two employees were smoking just outside the main entrance, we needed to walk through a smoke filled entryway
• The waffle maker was out of order
• The vending machine was mostly empty
• There were 2 employees’ cars in the handicapped spots (neither had placards or handicapped plates)
• The outdoor pool was very disgusting with a thick layer of dirt and leaves at the bottom
• The concrete lid to a storm drain in the parking lot was slid to the side and the manhole was accessible. Kids could have fallen or climbed down.

I would say that this really isnt a BEST western. Its a MID western. The staff were extraordinarily helpful and kind.
The sheets on the bed were wrinkly but that wasnt so bad. I usually go to best westerns because I like to get waffles in the morning, however the waffle machine was broken, which was a bummer.
The biggest issue was that the A/C unit didnt work in my original room. It was 76 degressnin there with the A/C set to 68 in the middle of august. Didnt change for hours and eventually I got a different room where the A/C did work. Again the staff were very accommodating. It just seems very run down and definitely not what I expected from a best western.

This hotel is definitely not up to the quality of other Best Western hotels. Our room had water stains on the ceiling, holes in the walls, and a leaky shower.

Have stayed here several times over the years. Just above average, initially, but it has seriously deteriorated. July ‘22 was the most recent visit: curtains were shredded, shower curtain railing and towel rack above the toilet were loose about to fall out off the wall. Bed was hard; uncomfortable with the thinnest of blankets.
Breakfast is basic but adequate at least.
If there were more local choices they could not charge what they do. Search hotels in nearby State College because the other hotel chain within a few miles of this one, although nicer/newer, is managed by the same people according to an employee.
If you must stay here request a room that does not face Rutters to lessen the noise and headlights affecting your room.
