He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and guided me through options until we found the perfect color for my laundry room. “Review from 7/1/26: I visited today after many years. I broke the glass on a large picture frame in my South Side office. I had called ahead to confirm they would cut the glass. Just as in the 2013 review below, these folks were very friendly, knowledgeable. I bought HEET for my car while there. Haha. Reminds me of a smaller Rollier’s in Mt. Lebanon. They removed the broken glass, cut, cleaned and installed the new glass while I waited. Took less than 10 minutes. The cost? $17.99. I was so happy to see Miller’s still provides excellent service. Thanks for still being here! This is the review I posted in 2013: These folks have survived for 100+ years and are obviously doing something right. Since moving into the neighborhood, I have bugged them many times with how-to questions, even though I wasn't making huge purchases. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. The person at the register always greets customers with a smile and directs you to the proper place.”

“Quick, personal service. Got some keys copied and explored their options. Great local establishment offering pretty much everything the average home or business would need. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend!”

“Great local hardware store in Oakdale. Sometimes you need the big box hardware store, but sometimes the small local hardware store is best. It's good to support a store you can walk to, has knowledgeable people working there and they usually have what you need. It's a throwback to the way it used to be. Saves time and supports your hometown.”

“First time using sky oxygen. Definitely recommend them for anything you need. I had visited two other supply stores and nobody knew right solution but still tried selling me something with a no return after opening the product. The only problem is getting in and out fast. Lol. There are always good deals and things that you miss and of course upcoming deal days like the one coming up. The staff are great in helping find things fast and the checkout line moves quickly! Love this store!!!”

“After striking out with two suppliers near me (south hills) I called, talked to a very knowledgeable lady, who confirmed they had the type of vinyl soffet I needed. Easy to find, very nice folks to deal with, reasonaly priced, loaded me up and helped secure my load.”

“Let me start off by saying I am not mechanically inclined so hardware stores are like going into a different country for me. I had taken my snowblower in to be serviced as when I lived in Ohio it was in storage and last winter here was mild. Prior to taking it in Inhad tried new gas and the electric start...nothing. Luckily I dropped it off Sunday and got it back today. Service was great, price was fair, and they did a great job quickly. One thing to be noted is if you have a repair or need salt - use the back alley.”

“We purchased a new storm door and had it installed by Lowe's; we love our full view door. JC came out to measure the door, Cody helped us order it. The first door arrived cracked but the second door was perfect. Cody was kind and very patient while I was deciding on the door and hardware. JC did a great job with the installation! The only negative was there is a small disconnect with the installer receiving the information that the item was delivered and ready for install. I called Lowes to see if the item arrived, then they forwarded the information to the installer and the installer called me pretty quickly. This happened with the first broken door and the second perfect door. I also hate to be connected to corporate Lowe's...I prefer talking to individual Lowe's I'm dealing with. I love the door so much, I thought about giving 5 stars but those little issues definitely made the process less than perfect.”
5141 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh PA 15236
“Friendly and helpful service. Was able to provide a delivery of 1 ton of gravel within 2 hours of my call. Fair pricing. Another local outfit would not deliver less than 3 tons.”
4743 Plummer St, Pittsburgh PA 15201
“I’m so glad this place exists! Prices are reasonable. Lots of stuff. When I had a horrible sewage leak, I was quoted $1500 for a clean up fee. I went here instead and spent $250 on supplies to clean it myself! And the best part is, they have plenty of dog toys so I can bring my dog something nice when I go! Staff is always super kind and helpful. I’m so glad this place is so close to where I live because they have everything you’d need for any time of home repairs/ issues at a reasonable price. Thank you all that work here, you’ve helped me get through some unfortunate home issues!”
