This post office is generally okay. But there is one worker there who is unnecessarily rude to me every time I stop by to drop off a package.I absolutely recommend using a different post office if possible. Also they never have enough workers staffing the counter.I have zero complaints about our mail delivery though. The delivery people are always polite and efficient, even in the worst of weather.

I guess, it’s the best office! Thank you so much! For 6 years never seen any problems. Everything is very fast! People are so nice every time! At busy Christmas time (and snowfall) they work so hard and delivered gifts at time. It’s like miracle. Thank you

It's hard to describe the incompetence of this Post Office. My mail is routinely delivered to my neighbor's houses and their mail is delivered to mine. We've just dealt with this for years becoming each other's secondary postal carriers. The carriers have a past propensity of listening to their earbuds and not hearing dropped letters (which I've found on my steps on several different occasions), misdelivered mail, and speeding through our streets.Recently I had a package which was not delivered but tracking showed it was... First I spoke with my carrier who said he wasn't working the day of my delivery. After I told him HE was on video delivering 2 letters but no package, he told me to go to the post office to inquire.I went to the New Kensington Post Office on several occasions where they forwarded my concerns to Tim (the "supervisor"). Tim never called me back so on my 3rd visit I requested to speak with Tim face-to-face. The GPS on the tracking showed it was delivered to the wrong street (big surprise) and he just pretty much shrugged his shoulders and said packages get misdelivered all the time. I told him I was tired of coming over here complaining with no results and his response was "Well, then don't come over here!". I'm sorry, is there another option other than my local Post Office to get my mail delivered?!Tim's lack of customer service and lack of concern epitomize characters we see on shows depicting postal employees as completely incompetent (Cliff Clavin and Newman from Seinfeld come to mind).New Kensington does have excellent workers at the window (like Jana) but the people in charge (Tim) are a little too comfortable in their job security to care! You have to leave at least one star or else I would have left ZERO for this review.

Worst post office experience. Never deliver packages. 9 times out of 10 i get a notification that there was no access to my mailbox to deliver or incorrect address. My mailbox is on the street never blocked my road i live on is never busy. They deliver my packages to the wrong address. Every time i call they claim that it’s the first time they ever heard i had issues.

It is very sad to see some of these reviews considering that I have recently worked for this post office and I loved it...until I was attacked by 2 vicious dogs ? Once my doctor authorized me to go back, I just couldn't do it anymore. I had to undergo 2 months of physical therapy & loss of life with my family because I couldn't even do my hair, bathe myself, or get dressed.Anyway, I want to start by saying: Give the employees a break. You have no idea what it is like to work here. It is a very physical, demanding, and dangerous job. We risk our lives for pieces of paper & boxes with material items in them. I could have been killed trying to make sure people got their mail. The people that work here are VERY good, hardworking people like you who have families at home. We were all a big family at the office as well. We supported eachother & helped eachother when it was needed. I have never met a better group of co-workers in my life! These people care significantly about their jobs even though we had to dangerously drive or walk and carry mail in the blistering cold, snow, hard hail, blazing sun, & rain...walking up & down hills & flights of steps every single day. We're often forced to work 12 hour shifts into the dawn of day to make sure everyone got their mail...not even being able to see, having to wear headlights because it was dark outside (pretty scary by the way). This is an EXTREMELY TOUGH JOB & it's sad to see it going unnoticed of how much effort & physical labor it takes to do this kind of work. This office is usually short staffed because a lot of people cannot handle how hard the job is. You have to be a strong individual to endure this kind of work. We also walk up to 18 miles a day barely stopping, but for a 30 minute break (if we have time because we try to meet a deadline). And keep in mind that when mail is lost or missing, chances are the machines that sort it (because I also worked as a mail clerk in Pittsburgh), had a malfunction and misorganized it or whatever the case. There is such an incredible amount of mail coming to these facilities that it is unbelievable. We are only humans & machines are not humans. There will ALWAYS be missing pieces of mail here & there because humans nor machines aren't perfect when it comes to this amount of organization. I started working here during the time of the 2020 election & the end of the year holidays & let me tell you...there was so much political mail that we had to deliver. It was insane! When I tell you that we went from delivering 200-400 pieces of mail to 2,000 pieces of mail per day, it was almost unbearable...not to mention we also carry parcels & huge packages (some bigger than me) along with the mail. We had to go back to the truck if we can't carry it all. If we have your package/mail, trust me when I say...we want to deliver it! It means less for us to carry. Also, just so you know, we deliver UPS, FedEx, and Amazon packages as well. It is forced and we have to deliver what they can't. The wear & tear that this job puts on your body is shameful. You'll retire with several surgeries (many of the employees have undergone several when I worked there) because of the strain it puts on your body. Also, New Kensington is such a run down town in certain areas. Porches, driveways, & steps are falling apart, leaving the possibility of carriers getting severely hurt. Some houses you can't even find or see the addresses on them. People move left & right, so there are so many vacant houses & mail gets misdelivered all the time. All you have to do is put in a change of address form in person or online. So please people, before you get upset with your carriers, please understand that we do our best. We care deeply & truly about our customers & the communities. We risk our lives & longevity to get your mail to you. Please have some consideration. I really hope this has helped to change your negative perspectives on your carriers. Also, talk to
