6807 Weiss Road, New TripoliCan't speak highly enough about Dr. Gruber and the staff at Country Doctor Vet. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Dr. Gruber is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive, often emailing me off hours and fitting us in for an appointment whenever she can. We have an elderly cat that is seen pretty often, and I know he is in the best hands with Dr. Gruber. She provides thorough explanations and tries to find effective but cost friendly treatment options whenever possible while also surprising us by wishing us well with our new baby even after months go by between visits. With the number of patients she likely sees in a given month, remembering those details makes our visits feel a lot more personal. We feel very lucky to have found such a great vet so close to home!

The true centerpiece of the room is the sleek, modern fireplace, casting a steady, comforting glow over the space. Sinking into one of the plush, oversized armchairs right beside the hearth is an instant exhale. You can feel the gentle, ambient warmth radiating against the chill outside as you pour a glass of their signature Campfire Red.
Aged in American Oak whiskey barrels and lightly sweetened with Pennsylvania maple syrup, it tastes like absolute autumn in a glass. Ling and her dedicated team work hard to satisfy every customer, no matter what special requests or dietary modifications you might have regarding meal prep!
I have been a loyal customer for many years, and can say without hesitation that the food is amazing and very fairly priced!!
Everything on the menu is excellent!
Quick highlights –
The chicken noodle soup is AMAZING!!! Full of flavor – just like Grandma used to make!!! With long spaghetti / lo mein noodles!! LOL.. Believe me – you are not just getting a container of salty broth like other places!!!
The chow-fun is also AMAZING!!! China II is one of the very few Chinese take outs that offer this on their menu.. I order mine with cabbage (well done) instead of bok choi, and I must say that this is a dish that is so tasty that even my Wife and Mother (who are not fans of brown sauce or soy sauce) cannot WAIT to scarf it down and want reheats the next day!!!!
As for service, all I can say is that Ling is very polite and professional, and greets every customer like they are her own family!!
And her super positive outlook and smile MAKE MY DAY every single time I walk in to pick up an order!!
Folks, I have gotten take out from a LOT of Chinese restaurants – all over the country - over the years.. And a lot of it was just fine!
But to me, the BEST Chinese take-out is right here in New Tripoli PA!!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!
