“at Aldi I have come to expect to see cilantro for 89 cents but just recently I noticed they started carrying parsley. Two types of fresh herbs they sell throughout the year! Product variety is very small. They carry one or two brands, often store brands, of something. Produce is good, fresh, and cheap, and except for the stockers' tendency to throw everything (apples, potatoes, mangos, into to the bin) which I have seen done at ALL stores in the Pgh area. They carry a lot of frozen vegan items, as well as things like cauliflower dough pizza, tofu, etc. I like their flexibility to open up a new lane (listen and learn, Giant Eagle). Prices are sometimes 30-40% lower than the Yost Blvd Giant Eagle up the street. Their cart area is always all trashed out and someone needs to be go there everyday cleaning up the area.”

“I’ve never had any problems here people working here are always helpful. The have a Giant Eagle Pharmacy. I get all my scripts here. The Deli prices are reasonable and the international foods section is fairly large. I like certain products that only they carry locally. I do most of my shopping here.”

“Went to this corner market for the first time yesterday in search of a good deli sandwich. Found one! I got a Turkey club on havarti - it was toasted and all the ingredients fresh. The guy at the deli counter was super friendly. While I was there I picked up 2 pre-made dinners (portions were easily for 2) --- pumpkin risotto & pasta bolognese. Each were $13.95 - which seems reasonable to me. My sandwich was $7.99 - pretty cheap. My husband & I didn't feel like cooking last night, so the risotto was quickly employed & it was really tasty! Perfectly cooked. The fresh bread was nearly gone, so I didn't get to grab something for dinner but was super satisfied with my choice. The prices weren't high - they seemed perfectly on par with a corner market where convenience is a premium. My only bad experience was with the fantastically UN-friendly cashier who seemed to go out of her way to be unfriendly & boy was she good at it. Really sad that *that* is what greets you when u go in. I'll definitely be back and am hoping that maybe she was just having a bad day.”

“I love this particular, iteration of the Aldi in the area because it’s close, and has a great selection. There is another one cnearby, but it’s a much smaller store; a much smaller selection. Penn Avenue is kept well stocked and clean, and everyone there seems pretty darn friendly. Recommend.”

The customer in front of me was giving her a hard time about something that had no business being an issue (seriously, it’s free to be kind).TaQiyya handled it so well and the way she reacted made me smile. I hope it didn’t ruin her day (this incident was at 10am, so a relatively start to the day)Please, be kind to service workers. No matter if they are a server, cashier, or people restocking the products you buy. Have some decency.”

“I had a very positive experience (Sept 22 2023). I just happened to have come across the shop while visiting Hillman across the street. It's a small shop, but I was pleased with the selection. However, the range of products is pretty limited (e.g., dried spices didn't include things like garlic powder, very limited produce, etc.).I'll go back for meats, but will definitely have to complete my shopping elsewhere on most occasions.”

“Aldi used to prove other supermarkets were price gouging because Aldi prices were 1/3 their prices!Today Aldi serves HIGHER QUALITY PRODUCTS as main national brands let shrinkflation lower the quality of their product.Aldi is still lower prices, but now it's higher quality. There's no excuse to not shop here, it's the best.And the employees are super super super super nice. I'm low key friend acquaintances with many of them. I respect the store, because the corporate policy is to respect the customer and employees first. This is a corporation with heart.I literally got into a play verbal disagreement with my cousin one Christmas on who loves Aldi more. We call it Aldis. This place is the best. I wish more companies were out to help people instead of maximize profit. Every human life is worth more than all the money in the world. “Absolutely amazing manager at this location. We purchased a grill from monroeville they sold my grill and told me to go elsewhere without even an apology so they sent us to west mifflin. Honestly it was a blessing in disguise the amazing team of mangers apologized for a situation they didn’t even cause they fixed our problem with a solution and went above and beyond for my family. She even offered to go to another store to pick us one up. That’s the definition of above and beyond! The only issue I found was that the Cashiers were having a conversation about another employee who had left the store, which I thought should of been done after the Customers were gone.”
