“Dr. Shoemaker is a very special doctor and truly has the gift of healing. She is so in tune with her patients, paying careful detail to what their body needs. We have never once felt rushed during an appointment and I always leave having a thorough understanding of the diagnosis and how best to care for each of my pets. I’ve taken a dog who was battling two cancers, another who was lame and unable to walk prior to their appointment and Dr. Shoemaker helped both immensely. Can’t recommend her enough !”

“I have never actually been to this vet but I called in a panic looking for someone to see my axolotl. They said they had seen them before and booked me an appointment for the next day. However, maybe 10 mins later the lady at the front desk (I think Tanya) called me back and said she had spoken to Dr. Denver and they had found a vet who was closer to me and was an axolotl specialist. They knew that I was coming from Annapolis and thought that might be better for me and my axolotl. They had already called and checked that this other vet had an appointment available the next day for me. I was so blown away by the kindness of this and the obvious care for my pet, as they could have seen her even though they were not experts just to make the money. If I did not live in Annapolis I would absolutely be going to this practice. Even never having been here I could tell how much they truly care for animals. It seems like a wonderful place.”
“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Stoneback. Dr. Schofield saved my dog’s life through emergency surgery and guided us through the right path for his recovery. He has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but I will never forget the compassion and care she showed both him and me during one of the most stressful times a pet owner can experience.
Since then, we have moved all of our veterinary care to Stoneback. Every vet and technician provides truly loving, attentive care, and we always feel confident that our dogs are in the best hands. Dr. Cumpstone, Dr. Scherrer, and the entire vet tech team have been exceptional.”
“Called in a Monday morning for a stray kitten found and was able to got me in that day. The vet went over everything and sent out tests and gave prescriptions same day. Test results within 24 hours and was able to pick up meds same day. Very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Would highly recommend.”
