“I want to start off by saying that the first person I called when my mother passed away was Kevin. She passed in a hospital and I wanted to make sure she wasn’t alone or just another body in the morgue. Kevin and his team acted quickly, and he told me, “Rest assured, Mom is in my care.” He treated her with such dignity, care, and respect. I am forever grateful.
This was our first experience honoring my mother’s wishes for cremation and for a service without a traditional full viewing, and we truly didn’t know what to expect. When our usual church could not accommodate what we wanted, Kevin thoughtfully suggested an alternative church and priest who embraced our vision without hesitation. He even secured the date we were hoping for, Valentine’s Day.
He went far beyond what we ever expected, bringing in a stunning luxury handmade altar and even recommending a three-piece violinist whose music played throughout the service, creating a moving and unforgettable atmosphere.
I also want to highlight the outstanding work of Petals Fleurs, Kearney’s exclusive florist. Natalie and her staff are beyond amazing. I had researched “flowers around urns” and came up with a very basic idea. I honestly had no idea where to begin. Natalie took that small direction and ran with it, using her creativity to design something truly outstanding and different.
When I walked into the church, I was completely blown away. The floral arrangements surrounding the urn were absolutely breathtaking. In addition to the high-end florals, Petals Fleurs also provided candles, which I hadn’t even considered. The entire setting was beautifully serene.
I will always be proud of my mother’s final celebration on earth and it would have never been possible without the direction of Kearney Funeral Home. What could have been an incredibly difficult experience was transformed into something truly beautiful and meaningful. Mom would have been proud. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
