Don't answer phones at all, I always have to call either mount unions branch or McConnellsburgs branch to get anything done and even they are becoming ify as of late.

I went to the bank in mt.union the other day to open a savings account, stood there for a bit waiting my turn. I was next , explained I would like to open a savings she said have a seat, okay 15 minutes later, as I watch tellers on their phones or looking at a new blanket they got for Christmas while I wait.
MY TIME IS WORTH SOMETHING TO.
I walked out , seriously considering moving checking to another bank

I have delt with Community State Bank since the 1970's. My student loans were even with Community State Bank! I can't say enough about their service and cooperation. It is home town service and about outstanding people who care about the communities they are a part of! I am thankful for each day as they make banking a joy. Everyone should be as committed to managing their own resources as CSB is to supporting and growing our community, thank you!

At one time you could reasonably enjoy this bank, now you can’t even call a local branch without being directed to a Voicemail and only after numerous press ones or threes to be directed. The point of doing business with a local bank is to not only support a local business, it’s for ease, convenience and quality service. Otherwise, there’s nothing keeping me from going to a national chain.
I had a problem with an account and I called all six branches Only to be directed to a voicemail each time, I finally got through on the seventh. The problem is still not resolved, and so it’s probably just time to pull out of the bank.

Never in my life have i ever met a bank that wouldnt cash their own checks. And to think i was considering them for a business account! No way thats happening.

This bank now has an automated phone system. When you follow the prompts to get a local branch, it goes straight to voicemail and they ask you to leave a message. I left a message and it was over 7 business days before the branch returned my phone call. She was polite and immediately apologized for the delay. When I mentioned how the automated phone system is very frustrating, she told me that if you hit the correct prompts you can get a local branch. If you are considering doing business with this bank, you might want to reconsider. I had a question about money needing transferred into an IRA and called F&M trust, no automated phone service and were very helpful. Took less than 5 minutes.

I have had very poor customer service at the Smithfield branch twice now. Kathy is very rude . My husband is a long time customer of Community State Bank and he used to have great customer service at the Saxton branch but no longer lives in that area. If you're going to work with the public don't be rude...show some kindness.

The people are great!!! The staff and tellers and bank itself are wonderful. The vendor who maintains the ATM is horrible. Always out of service or not able to print receipts. Please go back to having CSB maintaining the ATM.

Do not bank here unless you want to not have access to your money. They killed my debit card after sending my new debit card to the wrong address. When I called, they gave me an attitude and acted as if it was my call. Fair warning do not bank here.

I've been with CSB for six years the people are AMAZING but there bank is horrible. Constantly getting compromised, cancellation of my debit card without notifying me, ATMs are junk. If it wasn't such a pain to redo my direct deposit I would have left a year ago. Like I said the people are wonderful to work with but I'm not sure how much longer I'm staying. Constant hastle.

My wife and I have been with Community State for many years. Very easy to work with and Bill Pay is user friendly. I would highly recommend!
