“The charm of small town post offices is a nice contrast to a post office set in a busier or bigger town/city. You don't have to deal with the employee that has been annoyed since an hour after the start of their shift. Also, it just feels like it moves faster. I stopped in here while on my way to an event. It had been a while, but I finally ran out of stamps. Like others, I don't want to just buy a stamp at a time, so I came in here to buy a book of stamps and to mail the letter that I needed to mail. When you walk in, it is like your typical small town post office. You walk into the area that has all the post office boxes and then you need to go into the lobby area for all other transactions, inquiries, and purchases. When I walked into the lobby area I had one person in front of me finishing up and then I was greeted by the nicest postal employee I have ever had the joy of dealing with. She greeted me so warmly and started a conversation with me like it was second nature and I knew her my whole life. She was so cheery throughout that I almost forgot to mail my letter. For some odd reason, post offices in rural area are so much more pleasant to deal with than others. And why is it that everyone seems to talk in a whisper when inside, this isn't a library after all?”
“The girl who works at the post office is it's saving grace so that's the only reason I'm even giving it 3 stars. She's a sweetheart. The mailman...a sweetheart...but...I never received a cell phone, court correspondence and my home insurance bill was sent back twice. They called my agent to see if I still lived there. Had to give other people their mail numerous times and others have bought me mine. I'm about ready to rent a mail box, deal with the hours and use the gas to drive a town over in order to make sure I get all of my mail.UPDATE...2 years later: Sarah still works there and she's still fantastic. :-) Very knowledgeable and helpful. She will do her best to find mail that's taking forever to get somewhere. The mail delivery is getting a little better. I still end up with other people's junk mail and slip it in the outgoing mailbox. I've been receiving everything I've been expecting. Would love to put all the political stuff right in the outgoing mailbox but it is what it is.”
“Lived here for a year. PO Boxes are a pain in the neck in general, but the staff at this location have always been accommodating. It's the best post office in Loretto”
“I've had nothing but great thins things for this small town post office mail's always there on time and the newest post office worker is super nice. The only downside is there only open from 9am to 1pm with post office worker services. But the keep it open till 5 to get mail no packages only downside That is because there is a town about 3 to 4 time bigger up the road soo they only let Saint Benedicts open from 9 which is normal for post office but tue postal service clerk closes her window at 1pm but that only for people to pick up a package if i dont fit in your box. You can get yout mail 9-5 but i believe the should let the new postal worker down there let her run from 9-1 take an hour break then come back for 2.5 to 3 hrs more thats my suggestion love the small town hospitality tho A++++”
“During this lovely snowstorm, the young man who delivers my mail in Coupon was kind enough to shovel a spot clear on my porch in order to keep my package from getting wet. Thank you!”
