“I cannot give enough praise to these folks. I purchased a 1957 Thunderbird in May 2023, and had them do an initial inspection to diagnose any problems. I also had some issues with paint at spots that I wanted addressed. We decided that I should drive the car through the summer and then bring it in at the end of the season to take care of the paint issues. From the start they were very honest and informative, letting me know that they had no way of knowing what they might encounter until they started exploring the flaws and exposed any hidden deterioration that might present itself. We came up with a plan on where I wanted to start and went from there. As the paint was removed, and the body explored further, additional problems were found as well as previous shoddy repairs. At every step, the staff presented their findings and gave me options on how to proceed and their recommendations – which were always very well thought out. No repair was started without a conversation and approval from me. As the work began, I was amazed by the knowledge base, skills, talent, and passion displayed and incorporated into this project. Some of the repairs done were sheer artistry – located in places that would never be seen by anyone viewing the car. At Ragtops & Roadsters, patchwork isn’t in their vocabulary – think restoration! They are my new friends and partners for the preservation of my Thunderbird for the time I am privileged to be the custodian of this classic.
