Still the worst venue to see anything. The seats sit at 90 degrees and are small. There are also concrete pillars blocking your view (see photos). The acoustics suck too.

Very organized and one of the most beautiful playhouses besides Carnegie Hall. I didn't buy any concessions, as I appreciated the show especially from my seats. I also had a great view of the orchestra.

We went for the Nutcracker and it was so, good! The theater was lovely and the ushers were so nice and kind. We had a great time.

If you wanna have a cute & classy evening out, this is the place to go! I've been here twice now to see 2 different ballets and I've loved the experience each time. The architecture of this building is stunning, the acoustics are great, and of course the shows themselves were wonderful to watch. Tip: make sure you take a close look at the seating chart before you book your tickets! There are columns throughout the theater that, depending on where you're sitting, may obstruct your view and/or your legroom (and there's already not a TON of legroom to begin with). I assume because the building is older not all the seats will be the most accessible. The first time I came to the ballet I had a knee injury and there were quite a few stairs I had to struggle down to get to my seat (which I was fine with but it might be harder for some people to do so!) And then for the Nutcracker, I had to squeeze past a column in my row to get to my seat and it was a pretty tight squeeze; so just keep those kinds of things in mind when choosing your seats!

A great place to see Wicked without traveling to NY. Next time a box seat will be required. The floor is very crowded.

A wonderfully well-preserved, traditional theatre where I enjoyed my second time seeing Wicked.

Beautiful building. Seats are tight. You get very cozy with the people sitting next to you.

We saw John cleese here and it was a good show. Never knew his daughter, who opened up for him, was a comedian. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the venues architecture was very nice and our seats were comfortable. There was not a bad seat in the place. Would highly recommend to see any show here.

Went to the Academy of music to see the ballet of Carmen. It was a great venue to watch this type of performance. It looks like all the seats are on a great position for watching. The sound from the orchestra is great. The entrance is right on Broad Street. Parking can be found a short walk away.

Came here for The Lion King. The show itself was awesome! The venue was comfortable. I was informed since I bought the tickets that my view would be obstructed. But it wasn’t bad at all. The drink price was quite high. But the adult sippy cups that cane with it were cute.

Left in tears after both shows. The first because it was freakin hilarious. The Father's Day comedy show of 22 and this past August the Lion King ?. Just because it was an all around amazing performance. It's not an oversized venue so you really get to connect with the performers and it has that real broadway show feel walking through. Only downside is the seating, the rows and seats are sooo close together and both times I ended up with someone who had to sit sideways in my space ?.

The dinner was average, and seating in the top tiers is tight. The costumes are extraordinary with a phenomenal cast. I would go again, amazing.

Academy of music is the temple of immortal good God inspired and human created glory to life, love and humanity. Unfortunately, post pandemic recovery is still visible

I went here to see the Lion King Play. We paid extra money to have the "Feast fit for a King" lunch before the show started. The lunch was delicious. The play was amazing, and I would love to see it again one day. I love the way they created the costumes for the animals. All of the costumes were so colorful and creative.
