Everything in their shop is very expensive. The quality of food is very low, for iftar in the mosque, food is taken from this shop for the whole month of Ramadan. Poor quality food is served for the whole month of Ramadan. The behavior of all the people working inside the shop is also very bad. The shop inside the mosque, so their ritual use will be good, but I did not understand how their ritual use is so bad? They are treating customers like this, and people don't treat animals like this. I did not understand how there could be such a bad shop inside the mosque?

How can they sell such low quality food inside the mosque? Al-Amana Grocery Store is inside the mosque, but how can their behavior be so bad? Everyone must behave well inside the mosque, but the behavior of the people in this shop is very bad. Mosque authorities are blind? Do they not see anything? Why are they not taking action against them?

Ordered catering for a my relatively large wedding (120 guests). The food was very reasonably priced and we got so many complements from our guests! Favorites included the falafel and the baba ganoush.

Awesome little shop tucked in behind a big fence (we got a tiny bit lost before we realized how to get in). Grabbed some awesome pita for dinner and plan to pop back in when we're ready for a full trip! Cashier was extremely nice, too.

I love Al-Amana Grocery Store! They have great sandwiches — some of the best falafel in the city! Everyone is very nice and there is a ton of seating outside. Check it out if you’re looking for a quick, cheap, and absolutely delicious lunch in Kensington!

Al Amana is one of my go-to's in the neighborhood! I honestly cannot say enough nice things about this place. Their falafel is the best I've ever had, their hummus is smooth and silky, the grape leaves are out of this world and the shawarma is perfection. I frequent for lunch and have used them for event catering in the past -- they are accommodating and affordable! On top of the delicious food and speciality products, I keep coming back here because the family who runs the store is so so nice. I'm always greeted with a big smile and friendly conversation!Honestly, my only wish is that they were open late to feed my late night falafel cravings -- but luckily, the falafel balls freeze wonderfully!

Nice and kind people. The grocery size is small. It has decent amount of Mediterranean products and small kitchen with hot meals. Their storing room is filthy, as well as their kitchen area.

This store is truly one of a kind. From the hospitality of the family working there, to the delicious and fresh food served there. I am always coming back for more groceries and find myself craving their food which always hits the spot. Every-time I come into the store I am welcomed and feel just like part of their family. I recommend this store to anyone looking for a hidden gem in the plethora of food options around Philly. The options are plenty, prices are very reasonable, and I only wish I lived closer to come here more often and get more middle eastern products that I’m always looking for. Definitely a 5/5 and well deserved for the care and love this family shows in its food-making and customer service.

Great service, family friendly. Cook food is fresh & hot & you get a very good portion to definitely fill you up; and you get to see the Kicthen which is clean & pleasing to the eye. Affordable prices and a big selection of groceries on the shelves. Definitely would & have recommended them.

First time visiting today. Staff was super friendly and welcoming to us new-comers and even treated us to some VERY DELICIOUS falafel while we waited for our lunch. I had chicken shawarma and it was excellent. Definitely a great spot to check out.

Some of the best falafel & shwarma you can get in Philly, and a treasure trove of other middle eastern goodies.
