I got denied my reservation cause my license was so called invalid. I sat outside and called PENDOT to confirm my license was indeed valid.I then ask the gentleman to explain what going on while I'm still on the phone with PENDOT. He says that my license doesn't look the same as his cause it doesn't have the gap up top with the Pennsylvania stamp is at. I got my license from the DMV just like everyone else. The kicker is Avis is in that same room with Alamo. And I've rented cars with them for over the past 6 months. I never had a problem. Guess I'll stick with Avis.I had to book another reservation with Avis at the airport, catch an Uber from 30th street train station to the airport. But I got a car with no problem. Thanks alot Alamo for the worst experience I've ever had in my 41 years of my life. NEVER AGAIN!!!! NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!!

I have been using them for work for 6 months. Never have an issue. They are always available and accommodating. There after hours drop off is so helpful being in the city and not all the way at the airport!

Travellers to Philadelphia should avoid this company. Was told they have no cars available despite having made a reservation on their website 2 weeks prior. Completely ruined our travel plans. No managerial accountability and an unpleasant customer service experience. Won't be going back.

Lakesha! Thank you for being the only person on my entire journey from LA to Philly and Pittsburgh who was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! My pickup was effortless (while the competitor's lines were crazy), dropoff was a breeze; the entire experience was refreshingly easy. I picked up my car, did my Philly stuff, dropped it off and hopped right on the train there at 30th street staion for the rest of my journey. Thank you Alama & a big huge thank you to Lakesha for making this part of my trip so smoooooth!

Pickup took about 5 minutes w/ no lines. Customer service was professional, efficient, and courteous. Car was brand new, clean, and higher quality than I had reserved. Drop-off was equally painless: drove into a spot, was promptly approached by staff member who received the keys, made sure I hadn't left anything behind, and let me get on my way. Easiest rental car experience I've had to date.

Guy at the counter was nice, but I was misinformed over the phone about the use of my debit card and got there and was turned away! Frustrating! So I had to WALK/USE PUBLIC TRANS to find an Enterprise (they take debit cards!!) Not happy with Alamo/National AT ALL!!!

They will scam you guys! It was my first ever experience with Alamo and it was horrible. I returned the car at 30th street station and they told me that they are going to charge me for a scratch which btw I never made. But then I realized that It is my fault too as I should have inspected the car properly before driving. After a month later, i got a letter from Alamo charging me for not just that little scratch but for various dents, engine problems, oil problems, the entire paint job and sent a $2500 bill my way. It’s the worst rental company ever. Never renting a car from then ever.

See message below for message sent to corporate re: "the old bait and switch routine where they rent you a compact but after taking a train 3 days cross country all they have is a ridiculous van! I am writing to you to express my extreme disappointment before writing my yelp review. I made a reservation for a compact car from an Amtrak train coming from California to Philadelphia to my mothers funeral. After traveling cross country with assurance of a compact car suitable to be in a funeral procession I find the "corporate" took all the cars leaving only giant mini vans. I have not cried about my mother for days but this broke me. Customers should be able to count on receiving what they requested. I will have to drive back to 30th street station tomorrow in a vehicle I am uncomfortable driving to try to exchange it. It is unfair and unethical to bait and switch customers after taking their money. People choose cars they are comfortable driving and that meet their needs. Not sure I will ever rent from you again I am so upset and disappointed Cynthia Mack

The staff at the desk are always quick and friendly. Every car I have rented from them is practically brand new. Sometimes the cars could use more washes between uses. But for the most part, I have had a positive experience with my rentals.

I’m sorry to say this in moments of irritation, but please at least hire competent workers who at least know how to do their freaking jobs. Literally the person working keep switching to Alamo and enterprise and couldn’t type correctly until someone had to help him. Seriously. People were already getting their cars.

Can’t recommend a place when their hours are incorrect when calling the office. My fault for not checking Google, but you’d think the robo message on the office’s phone wouldn’t say the office is open until 4pm when they actually close at 2pm. In times when people need to limit their time outside the safety of their homes, effective communication and accurate, consistent information is key. Disappointed.
