A month prior to my flight I booked a seven person SUV because we had lots of people and luggage in our party. The reservation didn't seem to matter. When I arrived at the airport 3/14/ 24 and went to the space where it is supposed to hold my suburban with all my people and luggage, I found a two-door Wrangler. Nice job Avis. That's exactly what I want after a long flight, the hassle to go back inside with all my people and wait in line to beg for the vehicle that I reserved. A major hassle but I ended up with a suburban eventually.

I would’ve given this facility more stars but I dropped my car off to return it and am having to work with Avis customer service because they never processed the return when I dropped off. There were workers moving cars in the return area so I just left the keys in the car for them to get to like I do at a majority of Avis locations. When I picked the car up there were two people at the preferred counter helping people. One seemed like she was happy to be there, the other one was more interested on her phone. There was a wait for cars, even though there were plenty in the lot, so whenever one of them were waiting for a car to be brought up, the line would come to a stand still. I’ve been to worse locations but I was more disappointed in the check in process.

As a frequent business traveler and my company mandating we use AVIS I feel like I am held hostage in repeatedly unsafe and time-consuming rental experiences with AVIS. I have filed a formal complaint to our corporate sourcing leaders asking to make an exception to use Hertz. The latest experience with AVIS was the rental I was given at PHL airport was a hybrid that had ~1/8 tank of fuel (56 miles to empty) and only 7% charge on the battery. I had to go stand in line to get a new car and when I shared with the agent my concern , he said that "I would be fine taking the car "as is" because it would run for a long time and to trust her.." I explained to her that was only if the fuel tank were full and battery fully charged. OR even if one of those were the case. Neither were sufficient for me to get to my destination. Independent of that I have never had a rental car in my 20 years of business travel that hasn't had a full tank of gas when I get in it. I had to spend an extra 20 minutes waiting in line to have me treated like I was an idiot for not trusting her and demand a different car. Apart from this issue I had a car issued to me with low tire pressure at PHL. And a car rented in DC with rear panel damage- a tear in the metal above the wheel that could have actually torn clothing or cut a leg if you brushed by it. I did not notice it until mid-way though my rental when I walked around the passenger side of the car. My rental experiences with AVIS have been more negative than positive in the last year I have been forced to use you. I have also given some of this feedback in the surveys with no response. I feel like AVIS is run like Budget, I've never rented from Budget, but have never heard good things about it. I expect and need more out of renting a car for business travel.

I travel a lot and I have used several rental car agencies. Since using Avis, I do not use any other agency. They were the cheapest, quickest and friendliest that I have dealt with, and I have no connections to them. I get picked up by the Avis bus, walk to my car and leave, no standing in line or waiting.

Avis as a company should be downright ashamed for how this location operates. I want to be very clear as well - this is on Avis the company for understaffing this location with too few employees to actually operate. The employees are salty over always having to deal with this chronic understaffing and I can't honestly blame them, they're clearly flying blind with no guidance from Avis how to deal with their situation. If you land at Philly airport late at night and have your rental car booked through Avis, then good luck and godspeed, you'll need it, and no way you're getting out of there quickly.

Not impressed with pick-up, but return was very fast. Shuttle driver on return saw me struggling with my bags and jumped out to help me.

Recent Avis rental from Philadelphia airport was not up to the standards I’ve come to expect with this company. A nice model, but older car with 50,000 miles, and damage inside and out. In desperate need of a good detailing. Parking break and check engine warnings popped up while driving as well.
