My child attends school at Benjamin Franklin Academics, he is in the 7th grade. He was recently given detention by Dean William Thompson due to the fact that he was cold and had a hoodie on, mind you the hood was not on his head. He was sitting in a classroom where the windows were open and it is cold outside. My son is a straight A student and has never been suspended nor received detention since he started Kindergarten. I am extremely upset by this situation. I feel as though my son is being targeted by a grown man for what reasons I have no idea. There is a problem here and it needs to be resolved. These are kids and we should treat them as such but instead they are being treated as criminals. Maybe its due to the fact that my son is black/hispanic. I feel that he is being racially profiled in a school setting which is completely unacceptable. I am not going to allow a grown man to bully my son because he is white and has a problem with black/hispanic boys

well first of all this school is for learning and if you dont like it then why do u still go jael.Also if you hate it then why did you rate it 5 stars darius and my review is the ben franklin is a great school for learning the lunches and breackfast anit half bad this year and you can make a lot of friends alsp jael you be in most of the fights.This is ARIYAH CLAY speaking
