This was my first time at this BJs and i was prepared for the worst based on the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. I found everything I went for, went to customer service to sign up for a membership and the lady at the counter as extremely helpful and pleasant.

I'm concerned that BJ doesn't do anything to assist customers who use the delivery services. I understand that they are 3rd party vendors yet they just wash their hands with customers who were due a refund. Case in point. I had surgery on both legs and I le instructions for driver to bring the groceries to my front door. instead they left them at my neighbors door for me to drag. $600. and driver was tipped $55.00. All I got was we can give you $20.00 and when I refused. They said contact Door Dash. Door Dash says they gave the money back to BJ. I was given a case number yet no one will refund my delivery fee. Seems like it's a regular occurrence for Dood Dash. BJ doesn't care. SMH

Went to Bj,s on Sunday there was papers and bottles everywhere (south Philly location) what a mess it's very dirty outside this place . They have everything u could imagine and the prices are pretty good , forget about finding someone to help u , just walk up and down the isles until u find what you are looking for ! The cashiers r very friendly and helpful , if I didn't have a membership I probably would try Cosco I heard they sell in bulk also ! Their meat is always fresh but a little pricey but I guess meat is high everywhere now Check this place out ,u have to b a member to get those discounts !

Moved to the area recently and I am disappointed with this Bjs. Customer service is terrible and the store isn't always well stocked. The parking lot is disgusting which doesn't make sense since they're the only store in that particular area of the shopping mall.

I only go here because it's the only big store option nearby. Staff is often not helpful nor friendly. Forget trying to get someone help you find an item. They move stuff around often and that makes it hard to find items. Then they discontinue a popular item for no apparent reason. When buying bags of produce (like lemons) be sure to check each piece of fruit. Often there's a bad one in the bunch. Parking lot is full of trash, discarded flyers and boxes. Looks terrible. Often a shortage of carts. No one waters the potted plants on sale inside and they die for no reason. I hate that. The people who work in deli dept are nice though. There is no pharmacy or gas available. I plan to switch to Costco when my membership runs out even though it means toll to NJ.

I purchased a luggage set from the Red Lion club on 01/30/2022 for an upcoming trip. I realized that luggage set was not quite what I needed and decided to return it on 03/05/2022 and I went to my home store of W. Oregon. I asked the store manager, a woman named Janine, for help processing my return. She told me because I made an online order she could not process a refund but could issue store credit. I told her that I did not purchase the item online but instore at another location and that I would not accept store credit under any circumstance. She then told me I would still only be owed store credit because the item was bought at another location and I did not retain the physical receipt. I informed her that I do have an electronic receipt, but she refused to honor it. I then contacted BJ's corporate and they apologized, telling me to go back to my home and my return would be processed by store mgmt. Again I went in the store, greeted the associate named Shamara manning the help desk, and requested the club manager. Again Janine came to assist and instead of attempting to troubleshoot she just repeated herself from our previous encounter. I informed her of the resolution yet she refused my request for a refund. I stepped aside and I called customer service while in club and the worker Shamara refused to speak to the customer service representative via my phone. The store employees ignored calls to the store made by the BJ's resolution representative trying to mediate. I again asked store management to honor the return policy as stated on the reciept and reiterated in the resolution email, again she refused. Management then abandoned the conversation, at that point Shamara informed me that in club policy supersedes corporate resolution. At that point I ended the conversation and informed her that I am no longer in possession of the luggage and that I'd report the charge as unauthorized with my bank. She then threatened to call the police as I was walking out.

Good prices for items and the wait time in lines aren't as bad as walmarts or jetro's.

This BJ's is the worst BJ's. There's rarely any carts. Boxes strewn throughout the parking lot. Kids outside asking why I don't have a neck tattoo. At other BJs attended are abundant and make sure you get in line orderly. Here it's a free for all. Today specifically our attendee didn't even look at us. She did not swivel at all. Only faced the opposite direction. We put coupons to the left of her and she would not turn to get them. They had to be handed directly to her. Then my card wasn't working for some reason. I guess she figured hey he looks like a smart cookie. He will get it eventually. She never turned to look. I never saw her eyes. All the deli cheese was marked as honey Turkey lunch meat. I grabbed it hoping it was American. Not sure if the price is right. The self check outs don't have belts. This is dumb. It is cool that they have electric car charging stations.

It's beyond a miracle how this store is still in business. The customer service is absolutely horrible. I also am a member at Sams and Costco. They would NEVER treat me like this and would NEVER allow an employee to be difficult or rude. The only reason I have this membership is because it's so local and they gave it to me for a special rate. I wouldn't rejoin here again if THEY PAID ME.

This review pertains to the Springfield, PA 19064 location. Biggest problem is they don't have, and never have had, enough employees. You can never find help in the aisles and have to go to customer service to get answers, and that's where the problem lies. The wait to get to the counter is unbearable and there is usually only 1 person working. My last visit I was the 2nd in line behind a woman who got up to the counter within 30 seconds of me getting behind her. It took OVER 15 minutes to finally get to the counter. Pretty sure this woman was applying for a house mortgage as I can't understand why it took so damn long. A 2nd rep finally got there and when I expressed my displeasure the response I got from her was "you can fill out an application". WTF!! For real??!! That seems to be their answer every time I complained about slow or non-existent customer service. While it took less than 2 minutes to process my return, it shouldn't have cost me close to 20 minutes to do so. They need to do better. Corporate needs to step in and correct this long standing problem (years).

Dealt with an absolutely rude and the times disinterested African-American woman at the customer service counter regarding a problem. On three occasions during the course of our encounter she out and out lie to me because I knew the answers to the questions I was asking before I asked them. I was thankfully able to find the store manager named Sean. He was kind a helpful and understanding of the predicament. He and people like him alone are the reason I go to BJ's. If ever you have a customer Service issue there. You would be lucky to find someone like him.

I visited BJ's many times in both Boston and Philadelphia. Not sure why the service and cleanliness are such a big difference. This Philly location is always messy and people generally are not as nice. But BJ is still better than Costco in one key areas - they also carry product in smaller quantities. That makes it easier for small families

I walked in here yesterday to find most of the employees were not wearing mask or wearing them under the nose. One employee in the deli section had no mask at all. Worst of all the woman at customer service LIED and opened a card under my name saying this would be perks and not a credit card when I asked 3x. The manager gave me the number to their card I guess and said she couldn't do anything but this place a mess.
