I was there Friday, October 3 at 3PM. All three sales associates were terrible. The first one was clueless and couldn’t answer if Blue Mercury carried hair mists. When I was standing waiting to check out, another old looking sales associate loudly and rudely told me to move when trying to use the make up chair. The last associate (black curly hair) who was meant to check me out was running around clearly not “helping another customer” scoffed at me to wait and rolled her eyes at me to another customer. There is not an official register, and not a line. All three sales associates were awful and clueless. Will take my business elsewhere.

Staff was incredibly helpful and to the point. Quick and easy purchase. Great product selection. Will definitely return to this store.

I had such a great experience at this store! I came in with a specific concern. One of my SkinCeuticals bottles exploded while traveling to Dubai. It was a brand new bottle still in the box. The staff member I met with went above and beyond to help me out. She didn’t brush me off—instead, she took the time to really listen. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine customer care these days, and it truly made all the difference. Thank you again for the outstanding service!

Very poor service I was verbally told of a discount before the end of October when I arrived they took it back and made me feel awful. The store is on walnut st between 17 and18 st center city Phila I would advise not to shop there

Two stars only for this one associate who helped me before. More on that later….
BUT ZERO STARS FOR THE STORE & OTHER PERSONNEL.
Came in on a Sunday looking for eye shadows. The banner by the store said that they had some 30% deal going on, store was empty, and had two associates on staff. When I came in, they were loudly discussing how someone said something to them and how they were upset ( the usual “she said he said”…). I went to one of the make up stands to see what eye shadow it had. The samples had VISIBLE DUST AND HAIR IN THEM. I went around to more stands, looked at skin care stuff too. Really wished one of them would break from their drama & help me, but no. No other person walked in, I was the only one, but none of them paid any attention. They also never told me about that 30% deal.
I came in here before on two occasions & there was this one associate, cute blond young girl, who would always help me. And I bought multiple things both times! And because of her recommendations I made a third purchase online.
But this time she wasn’t there, and those other associates didn’t help me, and I really needed help picking eyeshadows. So I walked out without a purchase.
I will not be back!

A friend of mine gave me a gift from here. After I had got my facial I went to pay, with the gift card I had. They would not expect my gift card with out the receipt. I explained, that the gift card was a gift and I did not have the receipt for the gift card. The owner Alexandra was very, very rude. She would not expect the gift card then proceed to lock the door as if I was going to leave. I just paid for it and left. I would not be returning after this experience. The facial wasn't even worth it to be honest. I feel like many steps were missed in the facial.

I shop at Bluemercury more often than i'd like to admit, so often that me and the staff are on a first-name basis. I always have the pleasure of experiencing exceptional customer service from Karlyn. Anytime I reach out with an inquiry, Karlyn displays a level of attentiveness and professionalism that truly impresses me. Karlyn always goes above and beyond to ensure that my needs are met. She has given me amazing recommendations whether its in regards to skincare, haircare, fragrances etc and every time I walk out having purchased what products she introduced me too. Karlyn's dedication to providing top-notch support is truly commendable, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the assistance I receive. Its rare to come across such a dedicated, welcoming, and intelligent person like Karlyn and she's a big reason why I'll always look forward shop at Bluemercury.

Observed horrible customer service. If they choose to do inventory on a Saturday afternoon, close up shop if they can't be nice when a customer simply asks a question. No help with finding products, very rude when asked if any samples, and blankly stared without giving a bag to put boxes in. Get some quality control in there

As other reviewers have noted, customer service at this store is awful, almost nonexistent. I visited the store a few months ago and received very little service. The 2 employees who were there talked mainly to each other, about themselves, and loud enough that you could hear every word of their conversation. They seemed to be completely disinterested in the job and clueless to what a poor impression they leave on customers. It was actually pretty sad. Blue Mercury, you can do better than this!

This store is truly a treat!! Every time we come in to the store it is a lovely and luxurious experience. The staff always have the best insight into the latest and greatest products (as well as the tried and true). They carry a wonderful array of stock and you always leave feeling glamorous.

I was really excited to finally find a BM near me. The store itself is GORGEOUS and had all my usual brands. My experience was unfortunately negative due to the lack of customer service, or even acknowledgment. I walked in and smiled to the sales associate who was occupied with a clearly well known customers baby. Although it was just myself and the known shopper in the store, I was never acknowledged or asked if I needed help. I did attempt to grab her attention while trying to be respectful to her existing conversation but she was keeping her back to me. I was hoping to re-up my La Mer, get some recommendations for hair care, and buy some home items from Diptyque and The Nest. I felt like a nuisance to the associate for having to scoot around her obsessively complimenting her favorite customer and overall left feeling invisible. I was not going to spend the money with an associate who ignores customers, unacceptable.

Carlyn is a terrific sales person! She helped me find the perfect lipstick, a mascara giftset and an eye shadow I hadn't been able to find anywhere! She always helps me when I visit Philly and is so friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you Carlyn!

Codi was super nice and helpful when I visited. I was looking for a lune + aster product which found easily. The store is very cozy and they have different brands than my hometown bluemercury - like Sisley. It’s great to know I have a beauty gang in my new philly neighborhood ?
