We had our wedding here this past December and I can’t recommend it enough. The building is beautiful and an amazing piece of history and the current goings on just make it better. The lighting added to the auditorium is austere and the disco ball in the gym is simply fabulous. All of the people at Bok were great and easy to work with. Elise was a wonderful guide who was available and knowledgeable throughout the planning process. For the wedding itself our lighting was done in house, the wedding party got ready onsite with breakfast pastries from downstairs and we got to do photos on the roof with the city behind us. If any of this sounds good to you, go take a look and see for yourself - it's awesome

I went to the cafe and the bakery. At the cafe we had delicious sandwiches at a low price. Home-made chips, fine toasted bread, big pieces of bacon in the avocado BLT. You can’t go wrong here. The Machine Shop bakery has wonderful bread and pastries. Chocolate almond cookie to die for.

Cities and cultural centers often have repurposed or centralized areas where small businesses, artistic endeavors, and local innovation thrive and originate. In South Philadelphia, BOK is a bee's hive of activity in this rite. This former technical high school is now a space run by a property management group. The 5+ story building has many small businesses renting from it. A restaurant/bar at the rooftop is open from April to October.I entered an older high school building and saw the usual drab off white coloration of the hallways and school rooms. The aethetic was proper, as it allowed a person to focus on what truly mattered, the bright colors of the signs that communicated where a business or project would be.If you are looking for a cultural center that celebrates the diversity of human innovation, with a nod towards sustainability, you should spend a day here. I guarantee all visitors would give this place a thumbs up on their sustainability efforts. Learn from and hear of the passionate stories of the tenants and business owners. It'll inspire you on your sustainability journey.

This was such a vibe! The presentation of candles throughout the venue were beautifully placed. The event is 1 hour which is enough time. We got to hear our favorites from Lauryn Hill, 2Pac, Jay-Z, Eminem, & Kendrick Lamar. BUT the Dr Dre medley did not disappoint…”The Next Episode” chef kisses.

This place really put in perspective how powerful creative community is. It made me reconsider my entire busines in 2 major way. I need to get out of my comfort zone more in order to expand my horizons. Also I would like to do an event at Bok as well. Overall I am very grateful for this experience. Let me know what you think of my content.
