One of my favorite bookstores in Philadelphia. You'll find an extensive selection of art and photography books, obscure vintage publications and indie vinyl

Not really accessible but people are very kind and helpful. What an incredible, magical little shop! Precious finds at all price points. Children's books in front, more cerebral stuff in back. Great display of coffee table books and deep thinkers. It's really about the books here, not a lot of extra junk around. I spent more than an hour here and really enjoyed my purchases. Here's a beautiful thing that happened here:I found my favourite childhood book and bought it for $6. Then I asked a child with their parent if they would like to read it, or knew anybody who might like to read this book that they might pass it on to. The child declined the offer but on second thought they took the book and decided they could probably find somebody. The kid was shy to take it but opened it straight away and began reading. I thanked them for taking care of my favourite story and went on with my day. I hope the world is a little better with a book no longer on the shelf but back in children's hands.

Hmmm I'm not sure why everyone gave it really good ratings. I think this book store is unique and stands out. Easy to get to with okay parking/loading zones. The topics are very limited. If you're looking for older edition and maybe some newer books in outdated subjects, this may be the place for you. There is a lot of nonfiction, some fiction, mostly adult and hardly any young adult. Good enough children section by the front with arts and photography. One or two chairs to sort of sit down. I'm usually a book lover and enjoy pretty much every store. This one didn't grab my attention as much, and the clerk didn't bother greeting people either. Would recommend adding some local made knick knacks to stack the counter, it's very lacking...

This is the best bookstore in the city. I only wish it were bigger and had more art books. Even if you can't find what you are looking for you are bound to find something interesting. They have the best selection of books. I usually can spend a good hour or more in there just looking.

The kind of place you can lose yourself in if you're not careful. Or if you choose to, if you're into that sort of thing. A cozy, homey spot with a neighborhood professor's feel. I'll definitely be back.

Do you feel alone? Are the whispers in your peripheral no longer enough to justify the company you keep? Go find a better book than the dude on your couch.

Nice clean place with great customer service. Books are in good condition, but definitely overpriced. You can easily get the same book about 2x cheaper elsewhere.

Love this place. Wonderful selection. Lots off quirky books and other books. Very friendly staff. I'm a queer person and feel totally accepted and safe there.

One of my favorite bookstores in the city. I’ve gotten some great fiction recommendations from the booksellers there. It’s a book persons bookstore. Found a Ray Johnson art book there that was absolutely gorgeous. I live down the street and pop in all the time and I always find something unexpected.

Something horribly wrong with the man behind the counter. I bought eighty dollars worth of things and he was downright furious. He scowled at me and ripped the cash out of my hands. He did not offer a bag. I asked for one and he said, "What?" I said, "Sir, a bag; I can't possibly carry all of this stuff." "Oh my God," he said, and actually got on his phone. he called someone and asked what a bag was in, and if they had one. Meanwhile, he owed me two dollars and fifty cents change. I asked for my change and receipt. He turned away from me and started reading in a corner. I stood there for about fifteen minutes not knowing what to do. Eventually someone came in and gave me a grocery bag they had with them, a spare. The man would not look at me and kept grumbling. He all at once bolted up screaming, and gave me two fifty in quarters. I feel sick now from the whole situation.
