I made a reservation for a 9' cargo van for an out-of-state apartment move. They called me 4 hours before I was suppose to pick up the van and said they had none available. I call customer service at their suggestion to see if there was other vans available nearby. They promised to call me back with options. They never did.If you're looking for a reliable service, this is not the company you should use.

***DO NOT USE!*** Take this and the other low scoring reviews as warning and avoid at all costs. We are moving out of state and have had a reservation for a truck 60 days prior. The day of the reservation we receive a call at 4 pm stating they cannot locate a truck for us all the way to Maryland and have “been searching for days” to locate one for our 8 am pick up. First of all if this has been a risk or issue for days do not contact the people less than 12 hours before their household move you have no truck especially when a reservation was placed two months prior which is the purpose of reviewing. The staff is completely incompetent and disrespectful. Oh and don’t expect anyone to answer any of your calls when you are trying to figure out what is going on- it will ring and go to voicemail with no response. The budget corporate location is just as useless and clueless. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to U-Haul. This company is an absolute joke and avoidable headache.

Moving can be very stressful and plans change frequently and quickly. This budget location was absolutely fantastic about working with me on multiple last minute changes of plan and really saved me a couple of headaches.

Made a reservation a month in advance for a moving truck. No truck here when I come to pick it up. Liars claimed to have called me to tell me there was no truck available but did not call me. Completely unprofessional, wasted my time, now I have to find a truck somewhere else and all trucks are sold out. Don’t give these scumbags your business.

Wait time was a little too long with only one employee helping customers, answering phones, and inspecting the cars before rental. The truck I rented was clean and fairly priced compared to other agency's. It is so slow to rent a vehicle because of the lack of staff. I even saw the same employee I rented from vacuuming out the returned autos.

If I could give a negative number I would. We used them 2 times and they tried to cheat us both times. The last time my son reserved the truck but got called to say that location did not have a truck so we had to start over. Then they jacked the price up by $200 when we went to pick it up even though I confirmed the price driving there. They would honor his military discount since he was driving back to base but then forgot and said budget does not have a military discount. The truck he finally got was a POS that rattled and shook the whole drive to GA. Never use Budget.

I rented a truck and a dolly from a different location, but despite the fact that I entered the make and model of the car being towed online , the car wouldn't fit the dolly. Didn't find this out til the day before the big move, and budget kept me waiting on roadside assistance for 6 hours, only for them to confirm that the car wouldn't fit the dolly. Budget told me they would find me a new carrier, but they were so slow in the process, I ended up finding one on my own - at this philly location

Nightmare STILL isn't over as of today. I have spent 7 extra hours of my time on hold, being hung up on, yelled at and transferred around about 9 times in the last 2 days to resolve a problem I encountered with one of their rentals. I was never told the differences between the different insurance plans any more than that one had a $500 deductible and one did not. So, of course, I needed roadside assistance and now they cannot tell me if I'll be charged more.

Didn't find this out til the day before the big move, and budget kept me waiting on roadside assistance for 6 hours, only for them to confirm that the car wouldn't fit the dolly. Budget told me they would find me a new carrier, but they were so slow in the process, I ended up finding one on my own - at this philly location The next morning I got there to get the carrier, there was no one working the budget side, only the avis side, and the woman working avis was not able to help us with the car carrier. She told us the guy who works the budget part of the location called out sick, guess they don't fill in for help? Called budget once again for roadside assistance, they couldn't give me an eta. So I'm stranded out in philly on the day of my move, had to push back our departure, and budget did nothing to help us. We ended up having to drive back to Philly and drive our car from Philly to Austin . Budget told me to save receipts and that they would cover expenses, but after our trip, they told us they would cover none of it. Terrible experience, I'd highly recommend you use another moving truck service

I went into one of your locations on the roosevelt blvd in philadelphia pa with my mother. I had called earlier that day to find out if there was a truck available and to find out everything I needed the gentleman told me I needed a deposit on a credit card and then I asked about insurance and he said no you do not need anything. Well when we got there he stated we would have to purchase insurance for $75 a day, I then said you told me I did not need to bring my stuff and told him I had Insurance to let me call and get the information form. He then said I wouldn't be able to use my insurance I needed truck insurance so to not bother, then when I stated that my mother was on my policy and I had commercial truck insurance, I then asked for another form which my request then got ignored and when I had walked to the door to call my wife for the policy number. He proceed to tell my 73 year old mother that it wouldnt work that he could give her a deal of $45 a day for insurance just to sign now that way someone did not reserve online before he gave it to us. This has left me extremely angry and has now turned me away from using budget ever again. The man was named david and he works at your boulevard location near haldeman in Philadelphia pa. There was no need at all to do this to my family and now I have to pay 45 times 5 days extra for no reason at all other than your employee lying and not taking the time to let me use my 1,000,000 auto policy.
