“Amazing shop to get your turntable repaired! I recently brought in a Thorens turntable that I bought on Facebook Marketplace that had a number of issues. The belt kept coming off so the speed that the record was playing was wrong, any vibration nearby or from my apartment skipped the record, the lid was loose so it kept falling down by itself, and the tonearm balance was way off. As a newbie to this hobby, for the life of me I could not figure out how to fix any of these problems.
I then called Common Beat and the staff politely and patiently answered all of my questions about the problems with this record player, so I then brought this Thorens turntable to their store and they repaired it with less than a week turnaround time. They fixed all of the afformentioned problems with my turntable and it sounds and works perfectly! They were even kind enough to wait a little bit past their 6pm closing time for me to pick up, since I wouldn't have ever able to make it on time because of work.

“Well worth the trip! After seeing reviews I drove 3 hours from Upstate NY to drop off my Vanagon with Kevin and Brian (the train station within a block of shop makes this ideal). At drop off Kevin didn’t just take the keys and shoo me out. He took the time to discuss everything I wanted done. Brian sent pics, texts, and called daily to update me on how progress was going. At pick up Brian thoroughly went through everything. They know VWs. These guys care, something you don’t always get these days. “Sooooo… this is my 2nd time getting a MacBook Screen fixed here and both times they came out EXCELLENT. Cheapest Prices I could find and durable screen replaced right! The first was a MacBook Air, after I dropped it the screen cracked and I took it there about 2 years ago and they fixed it perfectly. This year I had a 2020 MacBook Pro and my baby stepped on it, I took it to Apple they said $700 and about a 2 week turn around. For all that I might as well buy a new one, I took it to Street Wireless on Aramingo and they said about 2 weeks to order, for the screen to come and to replace it $590. I brought it here and and they only charged me $480 and had it fixed within days. I had to take a last minute trip to FL and it was done the day before I had to leave. The screen looks better than the first time. Don’t judge a book by its cover bc the neighborhood is a little sketchy lol but the work they do is worth every penny. When I get back to Philly I’m taking my iPad and a iPhone there to be fixed. Friendly worker and he communicated with me a lot andddd he gives receipts whether you pay cash, card or CashApp which I paid with all 3 (: idk these people from a can of paint but I trust them with my electronics based on the previous work I had done. “Tony went above and beyond to try and fix my problem initially we thought it was the grounding wires which isn’t an easy job due to it being electrical but he repaired it n grounded new wires after being out in the heat for over two hours trying to fix the issue it was the starter but he kept it real with me the entire time and didn’t try n bs me he arrived within an hour and price was very reasonable i’ll be using this mobile mechanic again”
“Took my Sony WH-1000XM4 in for a repair because the right headphone was not working. They found it was a wiring issue and repaired it within an hour.
The owner was pretty chill and honest about the repair. I had to file an insurance claim, and the owner helped me out as best as possible.
It was tough finding a headphone repair around Philly, and I am glad that they offer this service. If you are on the fence, would recommend at least checking it out. I did call in to ask if they offer a headphone fix.”
