I came in looking to move to a cheaper unit after my rate when up - Angelo found me a larger sized unit for $2 less than what I was paying now. He was friendly and good to chat with - we ended up looking at a couple units until I found one right for me. Thanks again Angelo!
Be advised that the ceilings here are starting to crumble, so your stuff will get coated in a dusting of fine powder if you keep over time. But for the rate, location, and service, you’re better off here than a lot of other spots in town.

I am currently at Extra Space Storage located at 40 Spring Garden Street in South Philadelphia, and I had an exceptional experience thanks to Oscar and Angelo. I had just arrived fresh off the plane, and Oscar assisted me promptly in securing a great storage unit. Despite my indecisiveness, he remained patient, diligent, and provided clear, detailed information throughout the entire process. Angelo also went above and beyond by sharing helpful information about the city I’m moving to, which truly made me feel welcomed. Together, Oscar and Angelo make an outstanding team. We truly need more workers like them. I’m honored to write this review.

The employees were very friendly and gave us a good tour of the building and was very helpful with showing us how to enter the building and the code to get in. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to join

I Called 2 hours before they closed on a Friday to get a last minute upgrade on my storage unit . thankfully to OSCAR, who was such a big help gave me an amazing run down of the differences and the process as to how i can make the transition. Very smooth , professional and polite , literally made my Friday so much less stressful with his help . Thank you Again!

Extra Space Storage has an accommodating staff, clean faculty and great location. If you have value belonging you need to store, rest assure your property will be in good hands. I would recommend and use them again.

I find it hard to believe all these 5 star reviews are real.
My experience has been average at best after 2 years with this unit. The biggest issue is the 100% predatory pricing. I did not sign up with a promo code and within 4 months, my price went up 50%. Six months after that, it went up again, and a year later again. The price has tripled with no change in what I'm getting. On top of that, the parking is limited and there is a good distance from the lot to many units. The average person couldn't carry something heavy from their car to the unit alone, and it's hit or miss getting a cart. I've never been there when the elevators have been working properly. The people in the office and on the phone are friendly enough but their hands are tied by corporate for most issues. We are moving, and the first thing we scheduled was getting our stuff out of here so we don't have to deal with Extra Space any more.
