I stopped in to get a simple charging cord for my phone. Despite the fact that these are available elsewhere for a couple of dollars, they had nothing under $20. Why not take full advantage of travelers, right?Bit the bullet, bought the least expensive one. Tried it in five different outlets -- it didn't work. Came straight back to return the defective cord, and the manager advised that they had a 'policy' against giving refunds for electronic items. She also claimed she had told me this when I purchased it (not true). And this policy extended to defective items? Way to stand behind your merchandise!I had to have an argument, then, to simply exchange the bad cord for another one. I then had to make sure it worked WHILE I WAS IN THE STORE, because the manager advised me that I was limited to one exchange. Apparently, if I had left with a second cord that didn't work, I would have been SOL.Basically, this shop's policy is (1) overcharge Philly visitors and commuters as much as possible for simple items, because they are at the train station, (2) refuse to refund the customer's money when said items don't work, and (3) refuse to do more than one exchange, even if the replacement item also doesn't work. This is not acceptable. This merchant has a monopoly on selling convenience items to everyone that passes through the 30th Street station. As a main gateway to the city, this station shapes people's impressions of Philadelphia. If this place can't operate an honest and non-predatory business, someone else should get the privilege of this concession.

Stopped in for a couple items on May 17 around 3 in the afternoon only to witness what we assume was the Manager (female) relentlessly ranting at another employee the entire time we shopped. Then we were ignored by loud female to checkout until another employee finally acknowledged us. The lack of professionalism guarantees we will never be back.

I've experience the worst customer service at this store today. The young man was very impatient so rude.I gave one star only because they had a size small t shirt which I purchased for my grandbaby.

Don't have any sports books anymore. Have to pay 7 dollars shipping on a 10 dollar book now. Don't shop here for books or tickets

This is a solid newstand (one of the best I've seen at a train station) and the big surprise is that a pretty darn good bookstore (great business, bio, non-fiction and a deep classics case, even) is part of it. The staff aren't booksellers and please ignore the Yelpers who expected them to kiss their butts. It's a train station newstand, look around, live life and find what you need, which they probably have! FIVE STARS. - Michael McGettigan / trophybikesPHL

Had a pretty bad experience here. I desperately needed a charger for my trip so I picked one up for a staggering price of $25. It didn't work and I was left hung out to dry. I explicitly asked the cashier if I could return it and she said yes that's fine as long as it's within 30 days. When I went to return it I was told that was not the policy and electronics could not be returned. So here I am with a $25 faulty charger. The manager basically told me I was lying when I told her the cashier said returns were fine. Don't waste your money and be more prepared than I was!! Will not be picking anything up here again

Worse customer service and attitude. And don't even think about playing the lottery there, they never payout. Corporate gave the store a face lift,, they should do the same with personnel. Been going there for 15 years until most recent, lost a value customer

I purchased an expensive headphones converter from behind the counter and the lady didn't even sell me the right one for my phone. $30 down the drain and I'm on the train. No way to return it.
