My daughters had a ballet recital today and I just needed a simple ballerina bun done. I called around and everyone else wanted to charge me $75-100 for an updo even though this would only take 15 min. Heidi has a background in theater and has done many of these and only charged me $25 per girl to do the bun. Thank you!!!!

I have been going to Matty for years. It's consistently awesome but recently he upped the intensity of the color and I'm getting nonstop compliments. I have long, thick hair so it usually takes more time and product but he always takes his time and pays attention to details. When Matt is booked, I've had cuts or color from the other stylists and have never been disappointed. I just got a great blowout from Heidi for New Years and it lasted a week:-) Everyone who works there is really sweet and there is a relaxed, fun vibe with neighbors just stopping in to say hi.

I have been seeing Whitney for many years at this salon and then she moved. I could not find her for the longest time and then I ran into her at a bar by chance! She is the best and I'm so glad I found her. She is at McKinzie Chic hair studio. As an added bonus the haircut only cost $25!

This had been my go to since April and I've been happy with Matt's work every time. My hair is a pain in the arse so or takes some skill to not make it look like a helmet or a hedgehog, TRUST ME. They recently moved a couple blocks away and Yelp hasn't moved their 30+ five star reviews to the new profile. Don't let the single one star fool you. It's a one star review out of 30+ five stars.

I've gotten good haircuts, bad haircuts but this is by far the worst haircut ever. I was here once and got a bad haircut, went in the very next day so they could fix it and they kinda did. so after few months I finally decided to give this place a second chance. It wasn't a good idea Would I ever go back? Well the answer is absolutely not!!!

Matty is a master! And a really nice guy. I found him through a friend whose hair always looks excellent and I will definitely keep going back. He gave me a great, but conservative initial cut and the fun came after the blow dry. Layers and layers of awesomeness! I seriously don't think my head has ever looked better. In addition to his artistry, like I said, Matty is a really nice person. He was patient, talkative (without being too talky) and had great relationships with the other two people working there. Highly recommend. Cut was $65 by the way. More than I usually pay, but I don't get my hair cut often and the experience was definitely worth it.

Don't be turned off by the fact that this salon is inside of a gym. It's a quality shop and you will be pleased with the service and the cut. All of the stylists are talented and you can trust them with your hair.
