My name was on the "board" but I had to stand in line and wait to see an attendant because of a note they left… They said they did not have a requested midsize SUV and tried to upgrade to an electric car for an extra charge. I stuck to my guns and after about five minutes I got a midsize SUV. Two days later I hear the CEO resigned, partly because they over invested in a fleet of Teslas, and that wasn't going well. Glad I could help. Be honest.

Updated - Highly recommend to get documented evidences before you get the car from this location and ensure accuracy!1. If you pick up vehicle which will be ready for Gold member and check out, then they will add all insurance costs WITHOUT EVEN ASKING YOU. BEWARE of their self checkout scheme.2. They dont even keep track of their fuel tank. During check out agent asked me "Is your fuel tank full?" I said "NO" because it was not and agent did not say anything but marked in the system that it was full. Now, I returned vehicle with slight more fuel than what I got but they add on charges for fuel for the remaining tank, which was not there even to begin with. Look out on fuel tank that you get and get confirmed documents from agent on the amount.3. If you ever call customer service agent, then they dont have option to discuss rental agreement or billing issue. i.e. the charges without your consensus might be added and they wont even talk about it.4. I was able to get hold of an agent by some other means and waited for 15 mins to talk to an agent but agent says their system is down and cant help.5. Finally, if you talk about billing issues at the counter, they wont help at all and defer you to call again. i.e. they want you to get frustrated by calling their customer service and give up.

Great rental experience-as is usual with Hertz. Enroll in Hertz Gold club! I am in Presidents Circle as well so I just show up take any car in the Pres. Cir. area and take off. Shuttles are always running and easy to spot.

Always a great experience renting here! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a minor issue with the car that was reserved for me, and the staff was on it and quickly remedied the problem. I will keep renting from Hertz, and I highly recommend the Philadelphia Airport location! Thank you!

Wow... Awful across the board... Reservation made, but when I tried to access my reservation online or on the app I got an error message so had to call. Took 30 minutes to get through to a human. Person told me that they had fixed my problem, but they didn't... AND I was charged AGAIN for the same rental (still dealing with that). Was assured on the phone that I wouldn't need to wait in line which was important to me because I had to get somewhere quickly upon arriving at the Philadelphia airport. Contacted Hertz again by phone (app still not working). Waited again. Was told everything was fine and that I wouldn't need to go to the counter in Philadelphia. Arrived at Philadelphia airport and was told that I needed to go to the Hertz counter. Waited in line at the counter and was told that the reason I needed to go to the counter because I reserved an electric car... WHAT? Got in my car which had about 30,000 miles on it and was filthy dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. I am a Gold member, which as far as I can tell has zero benefit.

I originally rented from Dollar but the electric car I was given had a charging malfunction. This happened around 10PM, since Hertz was the only available place to go to get the issue resolved I drove 30 minutes back into town to get there before closing and although we had to go through some hurdles to find a suitable car for my two week trip, a JACOB was beyond amazing and made sure I got a good fit. Christina also helped in between when he was servicing another customer. Thank you so much!!! happy holidays :)

I booked the car via Priceline, went to the counter on Wednesday to pick the car up, from that point in everything went downhill.Got to the car, found the exterior to be in Fair shape at best, dings and dents all over the car, interior of the car had crumbs still in the passenger seat, the pillar where the drivers seatbelt is located was literally falling off, had to push it back on multiple timesDrove the car from the lot to my destination which was 200 miles away, I rented a Tesla with Hertz in Los Angeles back on Labor Day weekend and everything was perfect, this time after driving that far I realized I wasn't given the charging adapter to use non Tesla superchargers, put me in a really bad place where I was forced to make multiple trips to a town and an hour away to charge the car. Then the Saturday after Thanksgiving my family tested positive for covid, our plans went from flying back home, to just wanting to change the drop off to Orlando airport so we didn't have to fly with covid. After multiple calls to Hertz corporate and Priceline I was told they couldn't change the drop off location, they told me I would have to call the location that I picked the car up from, which I tried to do several times only for it to say line was busy and never go through. I then drove the car to Philadelphia airport Hertz location (original pick-up location) proceed to go inside wearing a N95 mask, told the person behind the counter to stay back because I had covid and I was just simply trying to change the destination on the rental car and then I'd leave and get back into the car and be on my way, well she called her manager, which proceeded to come up to me (I stepped outside so I wasn't inside that long with covid) when she came up to me she literally yelled at me and said now I'm charging you a detail fee because I have to sanitize the car because of covid (which I think is ridiculous) than told me it was a $500 fee to change the car drop off, to which I told her I could just rent another Tesla via Priceline and not be charged that $500 fee. She than proceeded to the car where my wife and 3 year old son were trying to remove our stuff from the car and she came over and yelled as loud as possible "back up, this is a COVID car, all while there were a ton of customers around, to me that was beyond acceptable, she didn't have the right to embarrass my family simply because we got sick.I proceed to just walk away and rent a different car with budget which gave me no issues whatsoever. I enjoyed my Hertz rental in August in LA, but I'm definitely rethinking ever renting from Hertz again after how myself and my family were treated on Saturday night.

After a long day of travel I was very much looking forward to getting my rental car and driving to my bed. Little did I expect to have such a delightful time speaking with Jaleel at the counter; he was helpful, professional, and efficient yet incredibly personable. I knew I needed a car but I didn’t realize how much I needed the kindness I received. The vehicle was also beautiful, in great shape and very clean. Thank you!

Large, very busy Hertz location, with lots of vehicles on hand. In my experience, the cars were always clean and well-maintained. I never had problems with the vehicle I rented here.If you are a Gold member and have reserved beforehand, you can get out quite quickly. If you have to use the counter, weights can be long.I have rented here many times over the years, and the staff was always friendly and helpful, I’ll be at overwhelmed with the volume of people. The wait for the shuttle buses can be quite long, especially when cars park illegally blocking the shuttle lanes. This is not unique to Hertz; all of the car rental companies here have the same problem due to the layout of the airport traffic patterns

Pretty reliable. They are one of the best 2 or 3 rental car companies at the Philadelphia International Airport. Their cars don't smell of smoke. They have a large inventory of cars often. I usually make reservations on Priceline. If you need assistance with your vehicle or need to swap for whatever reason, you can do so at any other Hertz rhat you may pass in during your rental time.I usually take pictures of the vehicle before I leave the lot and when I return the vehicle. You'll more than likely drop off the vehicle and not have the car checked in by lot staff. You'll receive an email once the car is checked in. I don't want it to be said that there's something going on with the vehicle. "Well, not when I dropped it off...".When there's a long line picking up your car .. it's not comforting at all. The service industry is really hurting for reliable staff these days. There is a large turnover rate of employees. The good customer friendly worker I see on every trip. Other staff is in rotation. What's there to do?It's a short walk from Hertz to the terminal.. about 5 minutes. Walking that may get you to the terminal faster than the shuttle.. especially if the shuttle just took off and you missed it.

Where do I begin, I started with an electric car (HUGE MISTAKE) with the biggest coffee stain all over the passenger seat. I literally couldn't find a working charge station to recharge it when I drove 4 hours from Philly to New Haven. So I exchanged it in New Haven because I had no choice and had to drive back. Believe I paid $150 extra to exchange vehicles on top of the $280 bucks for the initial car. The guy at the Hertz didn't even tell me what I was being charged until I asked him for a receipt. The equinox I was given stunk of mothballs and I couldn't even put the heater on because some chemical smell was so bad coming through the vents that it gave me a terrible headache. So I literally had to drive with the windows down in 28-40 degree weather because the smells were so bad.It gets even better! Now I drop off the car at PHL and get my emailed final receipt and see an additional $200 charge that doesn't make any sense. How dare you charge my card like it's an ATM without any explanation or reasoning. So a $280 dollar car rental turned into $630 dollars. Absolutely the worst car rental experience I've ever had and I will make sure to never use Hertz again. If they try to give you a great deal on a Kia Nero EV, just know that the charging infrastructure is not there yet and it will take 25-60 hours to charge it (That's not a joke). Most of the available chargers are broken and not working and there aren't nearly enough chargers available to use. Thanks again Hertz! This absolutely ruined my trip, caused unnecessary stress, was extremely uncomfortable and cost me more than double my original charge 2 1/4 times more to be exact. Shame on this company. This should be illegal.

Review from 10/5/2023 , While traveling through Philly for work back in October, I crossed paths with three individuals who changed my whole perspective on HUMAN KIND. Upon dropping my car off to return home my wife and I realized we had left something very precious behind. We flew home to Florida, realized it was gone and I instantly caught a flight back to Philly the next morning. Upon my arrival at Hertz, the car I had just returned was rented out to someone else, scary right smh. I informed a gentleman at the front what my situation was and what I needed. He kindly informed me that lost & found was unavailable at the moment and did not handle same day requests.Desperate and unwilling to give up I began to push professionally harder. While waiting on lost & found I bumped into the General Manager and briefly explained my situation, member status ( President Circle / Gold member ) and that I had traveled 1100 miles back for help. The GM although kind, essentially blew me off stating “I’m handling something else right now please fill out an inquiry online.” As a GM you have the ability to go above and beyond, or take my inquiry and at least pretend to care and assist this gentleman did NOTHING but show face and provide me information I already knew, he didn’t even ask for contact information to help me look into the issue at a more convenient time it just did not matter to him nor did he care to help me truly get it resolved. Maybe he was overwhelmed with his current task but I definitely expected more from a member of leadership.Still fighting, I come across Miss Silver Foxx ( Tonja ) that’s a beautiful woman I tell you ?. Anywho , Miss Tonja could see that I was getting the run around and she had also assisted me 3 days prior during my rental pickup she WAS AMAZING by the way. I explained to her my situation and she then redirected me to lost & found. Now flashback to the other 2 gentleman told me it was nothing that could be done same day. Miss Tonja simply picked up the phone and made a 15 - 30 second call and look at GOD I then came across Ashley in lost & found !!There was another young lady downstairs with Miss Tonja (young lady with Versace frames) you too ma’am are a blessing and I thank you ! Ashley and Miss Tonja went ABOVE and beyond for something that had no meaning to them. Ashley did everything AND SOME to help me retrieve my lost item. I’ve been a Hertz customer for well over 10 years and it’s amazing when you cross paths with employees who actually CARE about something other than “the job”. This one experience with these three individuals has been better than any other Hertz interaction I’ve ever had. Even knowing I may not have gotten my items back everyone remained optimistic. They were kind and patient and they did what the big boss didn’t care to in that moment so ladies THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM AND TOP OF MY HEART. If you’re ever in Philly this Hertz location has a great staff with good hearts. Thank you again.

Line out the door. No sense of urgency from the two associates. Avoid this location if you need your car in a decent time. They don’t have enough staff.
