wanna-be fancy williamsburg market but not even close babe. some cashiers do not have a single clue on how fresh produce is measured & will get embarrassingly offended when you point it out.

Will not have what you need 8/10 times and if they do it’ll be at least $2-3 more than anywhere else- literally they will try and sell you moldy blackberries for $8, they historically treat their employees badly and there’s security cameras everywhere

Limited compared to Chestnut Hill and Weaver's Way variety of products. Not a friendly atmosphere either.

Some of the produce could have been a little fresher e.g. the organic avocados were a little to soft for my liking, but overall the store is okay. The vegan chocolate chip cookie was delicious.

I enjoy shopping at Mariposa for produce and dairy items, they are the only store in the neighborhood that offers produce. Their produce is always fresh and they offer a light selection of shelf stable foods. Their dairy selection is a little limited but good enough for a quick pick up of milk or eggs if needed. The store has issues with aggressive panhandlers and addicts at the front door begging (and sometimes threatening) for small change. They have made efforts to address this but it just pushed the panhandlers onto the stoop at the door.

Great little food coop offering a small selection of everything you need to survive on. Most items are organic, non GMO. Sourced from local farmers as well as a national coop supplier so prices are reasonable.

I used to come here for a lot of my groceries post-covid so I wouldn't have to drive, but it's increasingly a gamble whether an item I'm looking for is stocked or not. Coops are usually best for just specialty items, but it's a shame that it doesn't feel reliable for even that sometimes. Staff is friendly and the space is pleasant, great selection of vegan items. But considering the prices and lack of selection, I probably wouldn't come if it wasn't so close.

Long time member first time reviewer. It’s incredible to have witnessed how bad things have become at this place within the past three years. I suspect poor leadership has led to the downfall in quality and overall experience.First off, most of the front facing staff are great and it’s always pleasant to interact with them, however there are a handful of long term staff members that clearly hate their jobs and seem to endeavor in making everyone as miserable as they are. You know who I’m talking about. Also, they never have any stock. Like I get it if I roll in on a Saturday or Sunday evening and some items are sold out because it’s been busy, but they are constantly under stocked/sold out of the most basic staples every. single. day. This is why I think poor leadership is to blame: whoever is supposed to be running the ship has lost control and needs to go. They clearly have no idea how to run a community grocery store. I truly believe in the ideals of the co-op and it’s a shame that leadership have let things deteriorate this way.

Essentially health food store with a good selection of produce that you have to pay membership into to get a 3% (?) discount. Since it's overpriced, it's still overpriced if you're a member. Even if you're working member (you put some hours in every month helping out), it's still overpriced.I go when it's inconvenient to hit Trader Joe's.It's a shame, because Mariposa was a real community-based co-op when it first started

Nice small grocery store. A good bit of vegan/vegetarian selections. Prices are very similar to Whole Foods. If you looking for cheaper some items they aren't for you. However, lots of nicely price products. Great location

I like their selection of vegan and non vegan items. Nice produce here. The staff can be grumpy but most of the time they are nice. Only my second time there and I was yelled at for not reading the floor signs. I don't typically read things on the floor so I didn't know there were three cash registers or where the "line" is supposed to wait. It looks like there are only two registers but they showed me what they were talking about and I see now that the third one is a big middle counter that doesn't look like the other two registers. But now I know so I won't get yelled at again. No big deal. Just be sure to read all floor signs. Bonus about coming here for me is that they have a lot of random things like shallots or silken tofu or broccolini. Nice selection of Beyond products. And this place is on Baltimore Pike so there is a Septa trolley access. Recommend.

Sold overpriced pita that grew mold after one day. All other items seem to be fine, yet really ruined the experience when items are overly priced yet become spoiled overnight.

This co-op is a West Philadelphia staple. Before much of the gentrification you now see this place was an oasis in an acute "food desert". Given the variety and quality of fresh food that can be purchased here with a focus on local farms, local producers, local makers, it's a true gem.
