I just bought a watch from Martin and I highly recommend him as a dealer. He was very generous with his time in answering all of my questions and is extremely knowledgeable about independent watchmaking. Our transaction was very smooth and I am very happy with my experience here.

I sought out Martin because he is the east coast distributor of an independent watch brand that I love, Habring2 watches. He had the models I was looking for in stock and answered all of my questions with patience and knowledge. I bought a Felix Doppel from Martin and he shipped it to me the next day during the height of the coronavirus crisis. The watch arrived but had a flaw with the Doppel chronograph mechanism, caused most likely during the shipment process either from Austria to him or from him to me. Martin paid for the shipping to a local watchmaker that works on this brand of watches and took care of all the repairs. After only a few days and ensuring that the watch was perfect, he then shipped it back to me and I am wearing it as I write this review. I'm sorry for the long summary but I feel that I cannot say enough about Martin and his business. I truly believe that I not only bought a watch but also invested in a partnership with a business that understands my passion for watches.

The romanticism of watch collecting is built on the stories behind those watches and people who make them. A great story can make a great watch even better, and my young journey into watch collecting has a great story starting with a visit to Martin Pulli's store in Philly.I reached out to Martin via email about my interest in Habring2 watches. Habring2 is a small independent brand from Austria, with limited distribution in the US. Even though his store was over 300 miles away, I considered traveling there because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews I read online. He promptly answered all of my questions that a beginner watch enthusiast like myself might ask. We finally arraigned a time for me to be able to visit his store, which was remarkable considering we're in the middle of a pandemic.Once I arrived, he made me feel like I was an old friend he hadn't seen in ages. We chatted for over an hour. I spent months doing extensive research before my purchase, and yet Martin taught me so much I didn't know during our conversation. Even with the previous reviews about his great customer service, he still exceeded my expectations. You can't put a price tag on the wonderful hospitality that Martin showed. I left his store with my first "big" watch purchase that I couldn't be happier about.The watch I chose was a Habring2 Felix. Martin Pulli actually designed the dial of this limited edition "Felix Scientific". So when I pass this watch on to my son, I look forward to telling him the story behind the watch and the people who made it. I found Martin because he was listed as an Authorized Dealer for 2 of the independent watch makers from whom I was considering purchasing a timepiece. My initial contact was by telephone, followed by multiple email and telephone conversations. I enjoy the quest for a watch almost as much as owning the watch itself and do a lot of research prior to making a purchase. Despite the fact that Martin had not met me in person and had no prior dealings with me, he was incredibly patient and considerate in answering my questions and helping me narrow my choices. Martin is extremely knowledgeable about watches in general and independent ateliers in particular. I have not commonly found this level of knowledge in watch retailers; it is one of a number of differentiators between Martin and many of his competitors. Ultimately, I settled on a specific make and model, but couldn't find exactly the right piece in the catalog. Martin found a not commonly available variant of the watch I desired, one that really excited me. He then made it very easy for me to inspect the watch, satisfy myself that it was in fact the one I wanted, and made consummating the transaction a breeze. Post sale, Martin has continued to be available to answer questions and share information.In my experience, luxury purchases do not automatically include a luxury experience. I can certainly say that in this case, as much as am impressed by my new watch, I am more impressed by the way Martin treated me. It seemed as if we had been doing business for years and I was a highly valued client. Thank you, Martin!
