The most unreliable pharmacy. Either they don't have the medication, their system is down or the wait is outrageous. Multiple times I was told to come and get my medication at a specific time, only to arrive and have them tell me it's not ready and they won't even have the medication in store for days.

I called all over town to find the prescriptions my sick college son needed. The most helpful by far was CVS on 43rd and Locust near the U of Pennsylvania - Andrew, Toni, GIanna and Will were all stellar, attentive and helpful Highly recommend this store!

Pharmacy is top-notch. Never had a bad experience there. I like that the store is open 24/7. Knocking it down for two reasons: (1) they need to restock their drink fridges and aisles much more often. They are in a student-heavy area and people are coming in for a soda or energy drink much more than other areas. Expect to only see 30% of their inventory available at any time. (2) after a certain time of night, they have a bell that goes off when someone walks through the doors. It's fine for security's sake, but my god, do not stand in any part of the middle of the store past midnight. Your eardrums will cry :'( Makes me want to leave the store ASAP. Please update your alarm to be quieter or something less damaging to customers.

This location is so busy. There's always a line, even for self check out and there's never enough employees up front to assist as needed when stuff rings up wrong, but at least the store tends to be well stocked and the employees are kind enough to let me bring my dog inside as long as I carry him.

usually, I am happier here. Today is Thanksgiving and as we all know, now doctors phone in prescriptions to pharmacies as a courtesy and then we receive text messages to come and procure said remedies. I walked in just as the pharmacy closed at 2Pm so I decided to console myself with some Coke Zero for $7.99 per 12pack of 12oz cans when I noticed a "buy 2, get third 3rd for free" type deal, anticipating the long 10 day road trip ahead I decided to go for the 3 for the price of two deal even though it includes our ridiculous Philly soda tax, imagine my surprise and disappointment when I saw the packages scan at $8.29 instead of $7.99 I mentioned it to an overworked cashier who said she'd take care of my $.60 discrepancy as soon as she was done checking out all of the customers who elected not to use the convenience of self -checkout. After walking to the back of the store and to the front again to confirm the shelf sticker price of $7.99 was in fact for the product I selected, my order remained standing at the self-serve checkout station I asked if the cashier cared about my price issue and she said she did care, and that as soon as she was done with all of the other customer ( who had qued up AFTER me) she'd be right with me. I then decided that $.60 was not worth another second of my time and attempted to continue my checkout; either I was not using the machine properly, (needed assistance) or the machine froze ( needed assistance) in neither case I walked out with no assistance, no prescriptions filled and no overpriced, overtaxed, improperly advertised soda for my road trip, not a good look for CVS today I bet the text messaging system will send me many annoying reminders of this experience on a daily basis while I am on vacation and then they will restock my items before I return to Philly. I would try a different pharmacy. can anyone recommend a better run place?

This is my local CVS and I've used this location for years. They are opened 24 hours a day and have a parking lot larger than most CVS locations (used to be Acme Market). The employees are helpful and friendly, and someone usually greets you at the door. They are generally very well supplied, but will issue rain checks if sale items are out of stock. I the this location offers superior service over similar types of drugstores.
