I've been learning/practicing yoga at home for about a year or two and finally decided a few weeks ago to take the plunge and do my first in person yoga class. I was nervous but was so happy with how my first class went. I took the Bahkti flow on a Sunday morning with Aria and the class was energentic and invigorating. Aria was very warm and welcoming and I didn't feel uncomfortable in the slightest. Blocks and blankets are provided and I love the feel and aesthetic of the studio. I live nearby (about a half mile) so it is a nice walk and the location is great. (I went shopping after) - I bought a 4 pack of classes since I enjoyed it so much and went back for another class with Shannon - another great instructor. I'm very happy with my decision to pick Palo Santo and look forward to future classes.

As a Mysore student at Palo Santo, I've had an amazing experience working with Meghan and Aria. They are both incredibly kind and knowledgeable Ashtanga teachers who offer lots of hands-on adjustments, cues, and verbal encouragement while creating a supportive environment for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Highly recommend!

Palo Santo offers a warm and inviting space to practice yoga. Dave Hem's Saturday classes are fun and welcoming to all. I also enjoy the selection of workshops - I particularly appreciated the cacao ceremony held in February 2023. It is a great way to explore the roots of yoga and deepen your practice. The drop in pricing and discounted community classes are affordable as well. It is a convenient walk to the BSL subway.

Great studio and great overall vibe! I love the variety of instructors and teaching styles. I've also attended a few of the the awesome weekend workshops including inversions and breathwork. Definitely would recommend! Thanks so much for doing what you do.

Moving means finding new local spots and I'm SO glad Palo Santo yoga is right around the corner from me. MJ , the owner's classes are the BEST! Super interesting and challenging but accessible flows. She took over ownership from the previous owner Damodar but he still pops in to teach from time to time. Ironically I've been to way more of their outdoor classes at Hawthorne cultural center (WF at 8 and Saturday at 9) and I've brought so many friends to those classes. The teachers here are very kind and not pretentious at all which has been really great for bringing people who don't do yoga often and one who had never been. They do handstand and inversion workshops and also have really interesting workshops like needlepoint meditation and spellcasting and aura reading. Classes are priced very reasonably and they often run specials- I just got 2 10 class packs for $123 because they don't expire for a year and that's less than $13 a class!

I just completed the 2021-2022 200HR teacher training at this studio. I am extremely blown away but the knowledge, experience and energy of this place. Whether you are looking to go to your first yoga class, have been practicing for some time or even want to train to be a teacher this is the place for you. The professionalism as well as the genuine care and compassion is real. The owner MJ has a heart of gold and a wealth of knowledge of yoga and really just life experiences in general. You will most definitely find a “home” at this studio and an eclectic group of people here. Definitely check it out.

So I went to this studio to do a yoga and embroidery session with MJ Heart who is I think one of the owners. I can tell you I wasn’t even greeted at the door… Mj tries to portray unity and acceptance but she gave off the opposite vibes. This beginners yoga session was super fast paced, which is fine, but half of us were completely thrown off and confused at times and she didn’t even help us lol she also talked about how she was a cheerleader and she was a tumbler and she suffers from carpe tunnel… this was awesome that she opened up except she didn’t stop talking… about herself. Overall this “boutique” is a small studio full of a “better than you” feel and a pretentious yoga instructor. Really a shame. Also, their was a picture taken of our group embroidering (it was a yoga/embroidery lesson) that was posted on Instagram and I, the only plus size attendee, was the only one left out of the photo… definitely a very judge mental feel. This is the photo below… their is no reason they couldn’t have fit me in the photo…

Parking around this studio is extremely difficult. Took me 15 minutes to find a parking and another 5 minutes to walk there which made me arrive 3 minutes late and the door was locked.Hadn't I not purchased the 2 week special, I would have lost my payment for the class. Can't judge the yoga practice yet as I was not given the chance to try it, at my previous studio, they would give at least 10 more minutes before locking the doors.Would have been helpful to warn about parking or give possible parking suggestions especially for new comers.

I'm from out of town. I looked up this place on Google. Called received no answer. GOOGLE showed you were open. I took a chance and drove up to visit. Unfortunately the establishment was closed. I'd like to charge them for my gas and meter money. It's really frustrating when companies don't adhere to their hours of operation. ☹??
