I actually enjoy taking my cars for service to the Stenton Avenue Pep Boys store. My service writer, Rodney, is a gem! He's always helped me to get the work done. I trust him. And my mechanic, Ming, too is very knowledgeable and efficient. They're a dynamic professional duo! Thank you. MJ

Made an appointment at 5pm once I got there they basically said nobody was there to service my car. Just don’t make no sense. Don’t make late day appointments with them.

They forgot to put oil in my car ruined the engine. Had to replace it and they gave me a hard time about it. The replaced it with an old engine. They put grease all in the inside of the car and scraped the tires up. Very unprofessional and lied about everything. Rodney was terrible. Y’all need to do better

This particular location has friendly and prompt service. I had a tire emergency on New Year's Day and they took care of it. Today, Nov 29, 2023, my battery was completely dead. After being turned away at another Pep Boys (ridge Ave) I called the Stenton Ave. location and they came through with flying colors. 20 minutes later, I was on the road, and they gave me a discount!!What's not to love about that??

Did not fill my car up with enough oil. I had my oil changed here almost 3 months ago and I’ve driven 2000 miles but my oil pressure light keeps flickering and when I check the dipstick it had no oil on it. The car is not leaking oil I have checked. Would give zero stars if possible.

Visiting from Pittsburgh in my new car and had to get the state inspection done. Scheduled ahead of time in the app, and I was in and out in under an hour. Courteous and professional service, and a very clean waiting area!

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and was taken right in when I arrived. The staff was friendly, courteous and very professional. I requested an additional service and was accommodated with no problem. I would recommend this Pep Boys to anyone looking for excellent service.

Intake experience with Walter(1st encounter w/him)was pleasurable. He was very helpful and patient. Displayed very good customer service along with Rodney. Rodney was been around for a while and I usually get him during intake. He is also very good at customer service.

I got breaks installed there back in February 2022.I been back and forth with my dealership from a noise I was hearing when driving over ridged uneven roads and did not know where the noise was coming from as I am not a mechanic. The dealership finally found out from my most recent inspection that the brakes were installed incorrectly. I've been driving my vehicle in that condition for over a year and when I stop past the shop that did the work the rep who i spoke to did not or was unwilling to take any notes on my case and told me the manager was not around and come back 2 days later. This was after I should him a video and all the associated paperwork. Not sure what pepboys policy is at this stage of the battle but I want to bring light on my experience and say that I will never give local businesses my money for services I heavily rely on like driving a daily vehicle. Not worth the cost metrics if a job is done incorrectly, due to time, and money. It may cost me more in the long run dealing with dealership prices, but I have confidence that the job will be done right the first time. I don't pride myself in bringing things of this nature to the forefront as I know this could create a negative impact on the situation but I think in creating awareness to be more open and consistent with services that these places provide should be more in line with honesty and open opportunities to ensure that the job is done right and in fairness to customers needs. This turns out to be a safety issue more than anything else, and in knowing that, there are standards that need and should be maintained.

They’re getting 2 stars because the employees are nice, but they REALLY need to hire more employees. I took off from work on a Friday to get my car inspected. I arrived in time for my appointment only to be told that the ONE mechanic handling inspections called out. I agreed to return Saturday morning. I had to push back other obligations because… this was supposed to be handled on Friday when my schedule was free. It turned out that my inspection required extra work to pass that would take a few hours I didn’t have either Saturday or Sunday because… this was supposed to be handled on Friday when my schedule was free.They quoted $1300+ for the extra work. I said I would return, but decided as soon as I got back in my vehicle that for that much money I’ll just go to the dealership where I can leave my vehicle and get a loaner. Had this been handled on Friday when it was originally scheduled, they would’ve gotten my $1300+. Their loss.Also, one of them left big greasy fingerprints on the interior fabric of the doorframe by the driver’s side door. Not sure how I’m going to get that out. Grrr.

Had 4 tires installed at the Stenton Ave branch. The service was quicker than we expected and the tires looked BEAUTIFUL along with our own rims we had brought with us!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I dropped my vehicle off for a routine inspection. I was greeted by a very polite service tech Walter. He was very respectful and patient especially with all of my questions. The mechanic Ming that worked on my vehicle was funny and knowledgeable. Overall I had a great experience.

The service was good. The intake was courteous and thorough. The agreed price was reasonable for the service provided. All advertised coupons were honored. The wait time was reasonable. The service tech was also courteous and respectful. The only problem was that the tech forgot to reconnect one of the leads to the air filter which caused my car to run rich and the check engine light to come on and black smoke to come from the exhaust. That could have caused a problem. Be sure to check things out before you get too far from the shop and if it ain't right come right back. The service mgr was nice about the situation and put the car on the computer and found the problem.
