Philly Pretzel Factory is my go-to spot for delicious and affordable pretzels. always ask for the fresh ones because, trust me, they're even better! The variety of dips and options available make every visit exciting. From classic salted pretzels to unique flavors, there's something for everyone. They've mastered the art of delivering fantastic taste at a great value. The only thing that is lacking is the service. Not the best, but not the worst.

Fun Facts: The Catholic Church played a leading role in the early history of the pretzel. In the 7th century, the church dictated stricter rules governing fasting and abstinence during Lent than it does today. Pretzels, made of a simple mixture of water, flour, and salt, were an ideal food to consume during Lent. The first pretzels were baked as a soft, squishy bread, like the soft pretzels of today. Some say they were originally called "bracellae," the Latin term for "little arms," from which Germans later derived the word "bretzel." According to our historian tour guide, the earliest pretzels were dubbed "pretiolas," meaning "little rewards," and handed out by the monks when their young pupils recited their prayers correctly. Whatever they may have been called, the popularity of these twisty treats spread across Europe during the Middle Ages. Seen as a symbol of good luck, prosperity, and spiritual fulfilment, pretzels were also commonly distributed to the poor as a way of providing them with both spiritual and literal sustenance.Philly Pretzel Factory truly stands out when it comes to delivering a delightful pretzel experience. The softness of their pretzels is unmatched, creating a sensation of pure indulgence with every bite. From the moment you hold one in your hand, you can feel the exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The pretzels are not only soft, but they also boast a wonderful balance of flavors that leave you craving more. Whether you're a fan of classic salted pretzels or adventurous flavours, Philly Pretzel Factory has something for everyone. Treat yourself to their delectable pretzels and prepare to be amazed by the deliciousness they bring to the table!

First time at this location and at the Philadelphia pretzel factory overall. Service was quick, efficient, and no frills. Walk up to the counter, order, pay, you’re on your way. It happened to be national Hotdogog Day and I decided to try a pretzel dog. I’ll say it wasn’t great but attribute that to the fact that they made so many in preparation for it being busy due to the fact that they were a dollar apiece. I’ll probably give it another chance at some point in the future. I hear there pretzels are great and can’t wait to try one.

The black girl with the braids is one of the rudest people I’ve encountered in this location. Location 16th and sansom. Horrible service. Tried to give me old pretzels. Tone and attitude is horrible. I’ve been going to this location for over 2 years…I will not be returning because of her.

Get the spicy cheese dipping sauce because without it, it's just a basic pretzel. Nothing to write home about.
