Definitely the best Box in Philly.Requisite has an incredible facility and a welcoming and knowledgeable staff - their equipment and space is top of the line, and their coaches and community make it an incredibly supportive environment. Micah is a great coach and really helped me out when I was trying to avoid stressing certain areas during workout.

If you’re new or experienced in CrossFit, this is the best place to be. The coaches push you to work hard all while they insure that you are lifting with the proper form. Great equipment and plenty of space

Exceptional coaches and members! This box comes with all the bells and whistles. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at in your fitness, you’re certain to achieve the goal(s) you’ve set. The coaches encourage you to challenge yourself while making you feel accomplished through every step. Even during the pandemic they made certain training/fitness/wellness was not left by the wayside. Pricing is reasonable and the location has plenty of parking. Drop-ins welcomed and there even bring a friend classes!! COME BY AND SAY HELLO!! You’ll be glad you did. No one ever leaves and says “I wish I didn’t go”.

The coaching really makes this gym different than any other in the area. The coaching is expert level. Coming in at a very basic level of fitness, I have made insane improvements in the past 6 months because the coaches have gotten to know me, my strengths and weaknesses and what my body can do. Not only do you get great programming, but you get the individual attention to do it in a safe way that allows you to push beyond what you think is possible. Fun, supportive community, too.

As an avid Crossfitter for the last 5 years, this place is hands down the best in Philadelphia. The programming, coaching, and facility are exceptional, and RF has created a welcoming, energetic, and vibrant community. I appreciate that there's space and investment in athletes at all stages of their journeys - from competitors to a hard working 6am crew to the barbell club. RF has done an amazing job of keeping the integrity of the sport of Crossfit while also remaining approachable and supportive to those of us just wanting to get a work out in with enjoyable people. While I came for the expertise of the programming and coaching (really - it's just unparalleled), I keep coming back for the community. Great job RF, keep up the great work!

After almost six years competing in CrossFit, I started transitioning into Olympic weightlifting, and found a new home at Requisite Fitness in the fall of 2016. I needed a gym that would give me the chance to take CrossFit classes if I wanted to, but primarily, I needed a gym with a strong barbell club, a strong coach, and a supportive community as I explored a new-to-me sport. I started dropping in at Requisite when the gym was still located on Ridge Ave. The barbell club space was on the smaller side, but there was always plenty of equipment available. The new space on Scotts Lane is amazing - bright, open, and with plenty of space and equipment to have three separate groups - competition training, CrossFit classes, and a barbell club - running at the same time. It's clear the gym invests in and regularly updates equipment to help the athletes learn and try new things, and to ensure no one's ever waiting for anything. Micah coached me through my first meet before I'd fully committed to weightlifting with Kilodelphia, later took me on as a new barbell club athlete with programming designed to help me get better, and helped me become a contributing member of a new team. His flexibility, openness, and general desire to see me be improve has been wonderful. The barbell athletes made me feel welcomed, supported, and I've developed valuable friendships in what feels like an incredibly short time! Having an experienced coaching staff watching me every day, a coaching staff that knows me and how I move, has been wonderful, and it's helped me get better. I'm also able to rely on both Micah and Perrin for CrossFit coaching and support, which was important leading up to the CrossFit Games Open in 2017. Though I don't spend much time away from the platforms, I've really enjoyed the CrossFit classes I've taken at Requisite. Though it's not always convenient for me to make the drive from Center City to East Falls to work out, it's worth it to me to go to a gym where I feel supported, equipped to improve, where I get the oly coaching while having the flexibility to dabble in CrossFit when I feel the itch!

I tried everything when it came to working out; running, yoga, spin. When I got bored of everything else, I decided I wanted to try CrossFit. Being a student at Drexel, I walked into the nearest gym not realizing the amazing community I would become a part of. Though the UCity Requisite Fitness location was smaller, it was the perfect spot for me to grow and learn as an athlete. The coaches were personable, intelligent and pushed every athlete during every workout. A year later I transitioned to the East Falls Requisite Fitness location. It was bigger and definitely intimidating. But every class someone new would introduce themselves and the coaches wouldn't start a class without introducing new members. It didn't take long for the bigger gym to feel like the small, tight knit community I was used to in UCity. Requisite is the first, best and only CrossFit gym I will ever use. I've been to other CrossFit gyms in the Philadelphia area but I will always choose RF as my CrossFit home.
