Sassafras is a charming bar in Philly that serves excellent cocktails, whether classic or complex. The atmosphere is cozy, with a soulful playlist and historical charm. The bartenders are knowledgeable and quick, making for a delightful experience. The firecracker shrimp is praised as fantastic. Customers enjoyed delicious wine and a very relaxed atmosphere. Service was great, and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The interior design and architecture are incredible, with lovely mosaic floor and tile work. Vintage cocktails are beautifully made, and the food is unique and delicious. They have a phenomenal selection of cocktails to choose from which are unique in comparison to most cocktail bars. Customers also enjoyed a bag of potato chips imported from Ireland. Overall, Sassafras is a gem worth visiting for a drink or a meal.
food and drinks were great. the burger was exactly what I needed. a little run down looking and the chairs kinda were uncomfortable but I'd still come back.

A little crowded, but the vibe and the food are incredible. The drink selection is large and creative and the cheesesteak was one of the best I’ve had. This place is a must visit, I’d recommend sitting at the bar!

Best drinks in the city, by far. Clarke is the man. Custom drinks, no problem, modify a drink they have? no problem. Great conversation and atmosphere. Had the cheesesteak on saturday and it was to die for.
