What we value most is the consistent routine and caring staff. The structure has really helped our child grow in confidence, communication, and social skills. We’ve seen steady progress over time, and our child genuinely enjoys being there, which gives us peace of mind. The teachers are kind, patient, and attentive, and it’s clear they care about the children as individuals. Drop-offs are smooth, and our child often comes home excited to talk about the day, the activities, and their friends. Communication with the staff has been clear and professional, and the center feels safe, organized, and well run. As working parents, having a dependable and consistent place like this has been incredibly important. After two years, we feel confident that Alphabet Alley has provided a supportive and nurturing environment during an important stage of our child’s development, and we’re happy with the care our child receives.”

“My son has been attending TGT since he was a year old and I genuinely could not ask for a better facility to send my child to. Within a week the entire staff knew his name and everyone was kind, welcoming, and caring - you get the sense that the staff truly enjoys working with children (which can’t be said about all daycares, unfortunately). Additionally, the facility itself is great - they have a big play room and a few quirky rooms for reading and relaxing and even the interior rooms have sunlight thanks to the skylights in most rooms - it’s the kind of building that you just enjoy being in. It’s also close to Sister Cities park, which is nice for hot days in the summertime when they take the kids to play in the splash pad. If we were to have a third child (definitely not the plan 😂) and we still lived in Philly we would undoubtedly send them there.”

“As first-time parents, choosing a daycare felt like one of the biggest decisions we’ve ever made, and enrolling our son at Primrose Center City was the best choice we could have made. He started in the infants classroom, and from day one the teachers, administrators, and even the owner (who is incredibly hands-on, present almost every day, and somehow knows every child and parent by name!) made the transition completely seamless. As new parents, that level of care and attention meant everything to us. We truly never worry during the day because we know he is safe, supported, and so loved. As a dual-career household, having that trust also gives us the mental space to stay focused at work during the day, which is invaluable. The school’s hours are incredibly helpful for working parents, and the fact that they provide meals and snacks removes so much of the daily mental and physical load of planning and prepping food. They even offer quarterly Parents’ Night Out events, which gives my husband and me a built-in date night (even if that sometimes just means takeout and catching up on chores at home!). Now that he’s moved into the young toddler classroom, we’ve been just as impressed. The transition was thoughtfully handled over time. They gradually introduced him to his new teachers, classroom, and schedule, which made the change feel easy and natural for him (and for us!). It’s been amazing to see how much he’s grown there already. His independence has blossomed, and his communication skills (especially using sign language) have developed so much thanks to the intentional support from his teachers. We recommend Primrose wholeheartedly to any parent looking for a nurturing, structured, and loving environment for their child. Honestly, even if we move to the suburbs someday, we would absolutely drive in just to keep him here. And if we have another child, there’s no question that they’ll be enrolled at Primrose too.”

This is my sons second year attending their pre-k program he started at 3.5 years old and is turning 5 in 2025. His first year here his teachers were Ms.Shamia and Ms.Trinity. Now my son had been with me since birth before enrollment. They were patient with him(and he wasn't fully potted trained?) BUT they worked with me on keeping him on a schedule during the day and getting him fully trained within the first 3 months of enrollment i believe. Presently he is back in Ms.Shamia class with a new assistant teacher Ms.Aniyah? who is like the big sister my son never knew he needed? Ms. Trinity has her own class now?. All the parents care, all the kids genuinely are good kids. The staff down to the cook Ms.Hend( my son calls her Ms.Hammond) will love on your child providing a safe place. Which is rare now. But at the same time they are actually educating and teaching positive social skills to our babies. If you are looking for child care. Start here.”

“I miss going here. This place was my childhood, going there back when the old location was still opened. The atmosphere is always great for kids, especially during the summer. Unfortunately, as the years went on, it became a lot more adults, no longer being just for the kids. It went from a small and colorful establishment with a huge love of Puertorriqueno feels to a bland building that became more restrictive. From happy employees thinking of the kids first to employees just there to get small cash in their pockets. I still love this place, but I miss how it used to feel, especially now that I'm no longer a part of it. I don't get to see the old locations where I used to learn. I went a little too early in the Spring season as not much had emerged, except a few Trillium and Virginia Bluebells. We are originally from Japan, and at first we were nervous about sending him to school in a new country. Looking back now, we are truly grateful that he was able to spend such wonderful years there. Every teacher he met was kind, caring, and supportive. The school also offered many fun events throughout the year, which our son always looked forward to. He made so many friends and created memories that will stay with him for a lifetime. “After looking at many many daycares in the area(and even out of the area) we were starting to notice how hard it is to find a clean, safe and warm environment for our son. One day my husband drove past Saint Alphonsa's. We called and scheduled a tour. First thing we noticed was how clean it was. We had to take off our shoes and the kids have "indoor shoes". We loved that idea. With newborns and toddlers and all the time they spend on the floor and putting things in their mouths...This was a huge relief. And the center was so clean...anyone who has even 1 child knows how hard it is to keep a room in order for an hour...let alone the day. The center is never upside down.And then there is the staff. Leaving your child all day with strangers had me so worried...but we quickly started feeling like the teachers and the center manager were part of our son's family. They are so caring and they love children and what they are doing. We could see our son's excitement to see his teachers day after day and that made us so happy and comfortable. And they are always available to discuss any concerns or questions you have. Or just to let you know how your child is doing.Another great thing is the curriculum. They are not just babysitting the children or throwing in a lesson here and there. They really take the time to teach the kids. Our son learned so much so quickly that we were surprised many days at some of the things he knew :-)Overall we could not be any happier with the decision we made in picking Saint Alphonsa's Academy. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a wonderful environment for your child to grow up in. Leaving your child can never be easy, but knowing that they are in a safe place, in good hands and are being treated like family makes it so much less difficult.I absolutely love the Saint Alphonsa's Family!”

“I was so worried about putting my 6 month-old son in daycare. I toured multiple spots in the area and we ended up selecting Olde City Day School based on affordability and proximity to my husband’s office. We are so happy we did. Our son has now been at OCDS for 8 months, and in that time we have had only positive experiences. He never cries at drop-off, he smiles and claps when he sees his teachers, and as parents I’ve loved every interaction I’ve had with the staff. I actually began listing individual people from OCDS that we love for this review, and then I realized that I was listing everyone. Gloria and all of the teachers are wonderful and treat our son like family, and the rest of our family too. They’re flexible with schedules and life in general, and I look forward to picking him up and chatting with the teachers each day. They have a camera available if you want to check-in throughout the day, and the photos and updates they send of his adventures in school through their app are wonderful. My son is just over a year now, but even as a tiny infant he had music class, drawing, painting, a Valentine’s exchange, water play, an Easter Egg Hunt, and last week they even had a yoga instructor come in to interact with the kids. The photos of all of it are so cute and I can’t express how happy we are with our decision to enroll him in OCDS. I am posting this review because when we were looking for a daycare option, our only hesitation with OCDS were some ancient reviews that weren’t super positive. Here’s a current review of this special place in hopes that other families will find OCDS and enroll their kids confidently, knowing that they will be safe and happy. We love OCDS.”

“Learning Train Academy (LTA) on 19th and Bainbridge is one of the best parts of our life in Center City. Our daughter is nearly three now and has been here since she was a newborn, and we cannot say enough good things about Tasha and her remarkable team. They feel like an extension of our family, and they have created a warm, caring environment that never compromises on quality or professionalism. She has been through all three rooms, from the infant space with cribs, to the toddler room, to the classroom-style space downstairs for the three and four-year-olds. Each transition has been thoughtful and supportive. The growth we have seen in her, respectful, adaptable, social, and confident, is due in large part to the people here who treat every child with genuine care. One of the things that sets LTA apart is the consistency of the staff. We often hear about daycare centers struggling with turnover, and this place is the complete opposite. The team here stays; they are dedicated, and that stability creates a sense of comfort and familiarity for the children. It makes an already wonderful environment even better. The team deserves individual recognition. Miss Jackie, Miss Yaneira, Miss Jontae, Miss Honey, Miss Samaya, Miss Ikram, Miss Karen, Miss Nafeesa, and Miss Sabrina are all wonderful. They are kind, steady, patient, and trustworthy. They strike the right balance between flexibility and clear boundaries, making daily life so much easier for working parents. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming. It has everything a child needs without feeling overdone. The building is secure with key entry, and the app they use makes check-in, check-out, payments, and communication simple. They share monthly learning plans and respond quickly if we reach out. The value for the level of care is excellent, especially given the location. There is also a real sense of community, something we did not find anywhere else. The children are sweet and happy, and the atmosphere reflects the warmth of the neighborhood. The parents are wonderful too, and seeing the same families every morning and afternoon adds to that sense of connection. We love how everyone contributes to the friendly, supportive environment. On nice days, they take the kids to nearby parks, and they celebrate holidays and local events, including big Philadelphia moments like the Eagles' Super Bowl run. It feels down-to-earth in the best way, very much in the spirit of the city. We looked at other options but chose LTA for its convenience, its atmosphere, its reasonable pricing, and the community values it fosters. We have trusted the staff with babysitting and pet sitting, which says everything about how much we rely on them. Our newborn twins will be joining soon, and we cannot imagine sending them anywhere else. We feel fortunate to have a place like this in our lives. Thank you to Tasha and the entire team for everything you do for our family.”
