I took a loan through SUN for my vehicle. When I paid off the vehicle loan I received a letter stating such however they never sent me the title. I was told they never received the title from the dealer and I would need to go to MV to get a duplicate copy. I find this to be unacceptable, I now have to pay again for a title I paid for when I purchased the vehicle. Poor service, I will never use this Credit Union again.

Sun federal credit union has some of the best services offered when it comes to opening a checking or savings account. Years ago while working for Coca-Cola we opened an account and it has remained intact although the deposits and withdrawals have been sporadic. This location is convenient for those who live in South Philly, West Philly or if you are traveling and going towards the airport or returning home. Based on his location it's kind a hard to navigate to get in. This location however is very convenient for those who work in the area especially at the refinery nearby. I can only speak about checking and savings I have no experience with obtaining a loan or other services but they're pretty friendly when offering service. There are only a few locations and they're pretty much spread out. I believe they are linked to other credit unions where you can make withdrawals and deposits.

First I would like to say Joan and a retired Teller ( either Eileen or Elaine) were absolutely about costumer service . Unfortunately Our Joan is the only respectful, thorough, kind hearted person behind the desk? Let me back up; I had been a member of a different credit through my an EX Employer. When I moving 1/2 way across the state I called to cancel my acct. and was told a check of with my remaining funds would be mailed to me. Instead 4 weeks later when I visited my parents I received information on a Nissan Pathfinder ( which was purchased by the employee that was to close my acct). So a year later after getting engaged to my AWSOME now husband for 13 yrs , I reluctantly agreed ( just out of fear I was reluctant) to join his family's Credit Union SFCU Sun Federal Credit . Things were great for at least 7/8 years. Then on a Sunday after church my husband got a call " did you make a purchase for 85.00 at a local gas station , buy jewelry for a crazy amount of money, and purchase 4 tix through "Stub Hub"? After answering a series of questions I grabbed his wallet and his cards were all there! That Wed I got a call being asked "did you make purchase at a local gas station at 9:24am ( for some oddly high amount of $), buy a dress for $1,800 in Southern CA at 10:18am, and make aanther dress purchase with a Hong Kong website"?, I explained SFCU just called my husband a few days prior with a similar issue. Also, how could I get from The local gas station in the East Coast at 9:24 am and get to a dress boutique in Southern Ca? The SFCU rectified the issue, all the over drafts,etc. After getting new card it happened 6 more x's total b/w both of us and other family member. Now on 4/27 I wrote a check that afternoon I called the establishment & told them " I need to write another check please void that check ". I then called SFCU but the call taker refused to put me on the phone with my branch to explain ? So this woman J$&@?; was going to void the check. Days later I get a call " the check you wrote on 4/27 could not be processed we have attempted several times , please contact us immidiatly to rectify this issue"? Oh I called everyone! They finally did get the check to go through of course but now I have overdrawn $270.00 ! And SFCU will not fix this because the corporate office explaine " the mgr at your PassyunkAve branch will only allow a 1 time fix"? I don't understand our identity and credit cards were stolen, hacked, whatever. And this time there was a breakdown of communication! So everyone if you void or cancel a check do not do it by phone go rip it up! God Bless & Good Luck

Kaitlin, who opened my account was extremely helpful... And the first time I went in to make a transaction on my account, she was there again and once again was very helpful. So every experience that I've had there was a good one...
