Absolutely terrible. No truck was assigned to our reservation when we arrived. Online support was unable to rectify the problem and promised a $50 refund which I’ve never received. Will be using a different truck rental service in the future cause this experience was just awful.

Closing staff was very ignorant and not helpful young girl with braids and general manager lady with glasses made sure that they went out of their way to make the rental process much harder than what it needed to be. Girl at the counter had an attitude and was in such a rush to leave she requested that I do a mobile pick up for my truck rental which would have been no problem however she forgot to make it available in the system for a mobile order so it said online it was unavailable at that location even tho she had another colleague pull the tuck up and load my appliance Dolly for my pick up tonight. The young girl at the counter and the general manager lady then proceeded to leave me and my father outside in 33 degree weather while they were supposto be the truck information in the computer system to make it available for mobile pickup which she requested I do however she did not do this step. After 15 minutes of standing outside in the cold expecting to be able to pick my keys up in the drop box location IN WHICH SHE TOLD ME TO PICK THEM UP FROM she walked herself outside with her coat on and said I just had to come back tomorrow because she never edited the system before she turned her computer off. She then walked off and pull off in her silver Chevy Malibu. I will not be coming to this location it was a complete waste of time very rude and bad customer service. - Caitlin Isaac 12/22/23

I had an amazing experience with the staff, especially with Destiny. Her assistance is truly appreciated with her positive attitude and all the help she was able to provide. Destiny went above and beyond with her customer service and I will be recommending U-Haul rental/storage to anyone in the neighborhood. Thank you again!

Renting a truck to move from Philadelphia to Florida was my greatest anxiety. This place, with all the little things that were different, who's driving, who's paying and didn't have the name of the place we were dropping it off , it was a pleasant dream. Mostly because we had the most patient service woman on earth. I hate that though I asked her name I can't remember it but she was the best. I extremely encourage anyone to try this place first no matter where you're moving.

I recently used U-Haul South Philadelphia Self-Storage and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Destiny Wooten, the manager, and her team were extremely professional and personable. They went above and beyond to ensure that my storage needs were met. The facility itself is always clean and well-maintained, which gave me peace of mind about storing my belongings there. The entire process, from booking to accessing my unit, was seamless and hassle-free. Upon my arrival, I was informed that a second month of free storage would accompany a U-Haul purchase, a factor that greatly influenced my decision to opt for this storage solution over other options.However, as the second month is nearing, they are now presenting me with a drastically altered narrative. They insist that I was initially provided with incorrect information, stating that the offer was only valid for returns to a different location. I find this surprising as the representative who initially assisted me was fully aware of my plans to return it to the same location and yet didn’t mention that such a decision would void the free month offer.I've been given an ultimatum that I now have only five days to either vacate the premises, pay for the storage, or face being evicted.The manager Destiny showed no empathy whatsoever or understanding of the situation. Insisting there was nothing that could be done to remedy the incorrect information and that she would not look into it further. When someone who represents a company provides the wrong information, that should always be honored without contention.

Absolutely terrible experience - trust the other reviews. Customer service was awful - the woman was wearing a hat with an inappropriate logo on it and mumbled the entire time we were trying to speak to her. When asking her for clarification, she gave back so much attitude. She was watching nail Youtube videos the entire time we were trying to check out, causing delays in the pickup process and there were at least 5 other people waiting behind us.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean. There is not much room to park to unload items for storage or turn around if you have a large vehicle. It does have a cool view of the city from the 5th floor.I hate driving into Philly, but the location of the facility apparently works well not only for individuals but for businesses needing product or supply storage.

Like being in a head-on collision between two 16 ft uhauls. The ladies behind the desk were very nice, but that did not make the pandaemonium and the my hour-long wait much less painful.

When I moved I reserved a 20ft truck months ahead of time at the south Philly location. The day before my move I was told the only truck available was in north Philly. I was told my only option was to cancel or to drive an extra half an hour in the dark to a bad neighborhood to get the truck. On pick up the inside of the truck was covered in water and leaves. They quickly cleaned the leaves out but left the truck bed soaking wet. I returned the truck to a different uhaul location in NJ. When returning the truck they charged me an extra few for going over the amount of miles listed even though they are the ones who forced me to drive extra miles to pick up and drop off the truck in locations that I did not agree to. I spoke to customer service multiple times and every employee was rude and not at all helpful. I will never use or recommend uhaul to anyone ever again.

I’ve used U-haul a number of times throughout my life and I can say with confidence this has been my best experience. Myera made the process quick and easy, she also has a great sense of humor too! Myera your talents here are being underutilized, someone needs to get you in a sales position ASAP!!! Thank you for great customer service and keep doing your thing queen!

It's very easy to make reservations online and check out when you return the truck. Just keep in mind that there are always extra fees, pay for extra gas used, and pay for insurance.
