DO NOT have your packages delivered to the ups access point at this location. It has the same address of the apartment building next door and when you try to retrieve it over there of course it will magically go missing. Also, when you try to call this ups store and inquire about your package one of the ladies who works there will be very rude and unprofessional to you about it. I understand that it’s whoever delivered the package fault that it was delivered to the wrong place, but the way I was treated and talked to was unacceptable. Also just wanted others to be aware that this could cause an issue with your package because of the two places sharing the exact same address.

I had the worst experience today at UPS. A representative, who I think was the manager, was very rude to me. She did not want to answer my questions, she also told me to leave the store for no reason really and she was being xenophobic as well.

Firstly, if I could give zero stars that would have been my choice. My pregnant wife and I were in Philadelphia for a conference when we decided we wanted to visit a UPS store at 1229 Chestnut St , Philadelphia, PA 19107. Im not sure if it was because of our locs of hair or we looked like people who from another state but the woman pictured below totally ignored us and greeted other customers by name. When we approached the counter to check out we then greeted the woman pictured below and she still did not respond to us, not even saying have a good day or any equivalent when we left. When we left the store, I was still feeling uneasy about our experience. I then went back into the store alone to reason with the woman pictured below she then became defensive and stand-offish. She said that what I was saying didn't make sense because I have a swarthy appearance and suggested that I call the complaint line instead of acknowledging her unprofessional behavior. As a former employee of UPS I know this is not how employees should be trained to treat customers in any discriminatory way.

Tl;dr- I came in to get fingerprinted. Employees were extremely rude and I didn't get to finish what I paid for and came to this store to do. I would not recommend this location for those who are coming in for the fingerprinting service. My appointment time was at 11:30 am, but the employee asked me to wait 15 minutes, and there was another person who also needed to use the machine, which was odd considering I made an appointment, but wasn't a problem. When I finally got called back, I had trouble getting my fingerprints to register. The employee (I believe their name is Samantha Hernandez) told me to call the machine's phone operator to try and resolve the issue. I'd like to think I'm relatively technologically competent- I'm in my early 20s and have worked in IT before- the only issue was something to do with my actual fingerprints, which I know is not anybody's fault. As I was trying to follow directions from the phone operator (running hands under cold water, wiping the machine down, redoing my prints, etc.), I realized this store did not have a microfiber cloth or alcohol packets/sprays that the phone operator mentioned I should use. I asked politely if they had some, and another employee/manager rather rudely told me that they never needed any of those things before, which is fine, but I was just asking, as the operator mentioned they were things that should be available to make the fingerprinting process easier. They both started to get angry at me for holding up the line, as there were 4-5 people behind me, which I understand is frustrating for everyone involved, but I think their tone and actions were so unjustifiably rude and unprofessional. I was trying to follow the operator's instructions as quickly as I could, and was back there maybe around 20 minutes, which yes, I realize is on the long side. At no point did either of the employees try to actually assist me- I was basically told to try troubleshooting on my own via the phone operator.I had already paid $40 to get these prints done, but at that point, I was so uncomfortable I decided to cut my losses and leave. As I was trying to get off my account and started to pack up my documents, while simultaneously trying to speak to the phone operator about next steps I can take, as I kind of really do need my fingerprints for my new job, the employee, Samantha, patronizingly told me to "get all of your stuff, make sure to have everything, and GO". As I was leaving the employees made snarky comments about how I was holding up the line. I was so upset I had a panic attack outside of the store.I understand that perhaps I was taking a bit too long, but I believe my tone consistently stayed polite, but firm, despite the uncomfortable situation the employees put me in.Look, I just graduated college and currently work in the service industry, so I understand how difficult it is to deal with customers. People have their own ways of coping with life. But I believe there is a nicer, or perhaps even neutral way, of telling someone to hurry up. I wasn't purposefully holding up the line just for fun- nor did I believe I was rude to the employees. I don't really have many free days off from my job so I wanted to get this done and over with ASAP too.I'm not expecting excellent customer service- just to be treated with respect as another human being. It's in center city, I get it, but I would not recommend coming to this UPS location.

This UPS Store is good most of the time, but be careful. One time, I used my credit card to have mail forwarded and one of their employees stole my number and tried to buy things with it. I then had to get a new credit card. Now, I only pay for services with cash or a gift card.

Constantly losing packages that show delivered. Then when you ask about it they get nasty. They pulled a month old package out that was opened that was missing. I was looking for a different package that was once again missing. Then they threatened to call the police. Good luck with that the police don't even show up half of the time let alone for a disagreement about you losing my package. This store needs new management. The staff here does not belong in center city.

The staff is disrespectful, rude, and childish. The store is a mess. Stuff strewn all around and not put away. Staff is loud and not helpful- in fact quite the opposite. Clean house- this doesn't represent your brand well.
