I had a terrible experience with the United States Postal Service at 5011 Samson Street. On Monday, a package was delivered and placed in our letterbox instead of the designated package delivery box, which has never happened before in the two years we’ve lived here. Because it was placed incorrectly, we couldn’t remove it. By the next day, the package was gone.
When we visited the post office on the 28th, the manager informed us that the mailman had removed the package because it was jammed in the letterbox. Instead of using the package delivery box, the mailman left the package in front of our door, where it was stolen. The manager stated there was nothing they could do about it.
This is completely unacceptable and speaks volumes about the lack of oversight and poor management at this location. It seems like management only shows respect and empathy to certain people in the community. There needs to be new management and a thorough investigation into theft and negligence by postal employees here. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service and will be filing a formal complaint.

Need to have two workers at customer service at all times. There are times I go to pick up mail or to ship a package there is only one attendant at the window with 8 to 12 people waiting sometimes more. The manager neither comes to help the attendant or send someone to help the attendant. The attendants for the most part do a good job at trying to move people through given each the attention they need. It is not so much with their younger attendants that seem to have an attitude at times. Hire more people and have them at the window everyday all day. If you can't hire then have the ones that are there at the ready to help the attendant as soon as there are 5 or more people are waiting.

this post office is trash and the people are even more trashier
we had "hold mail" we go there and nothing is there and they have no answers.
They told me to check the missing mail on the app and then they couldn't tell me what happens next, where does it go? which post office it's in. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN NOW!

The post office itself is fine and the people working in the office are wonderful. Sometimes there's a line because they're often understaffed, but the customer service is usually pretty great. The problem is with deliveries. There are a few delivery people who will just leave a "delivery attempted" slip rather than ring the doorbell and actually attempt to make a delivery so that they can put the responsibility on you as the recipient. This happens a few times a month, but not with all packages, so it leads me to believe it's one or a small handful of incredibly lazy delivery people who just refuse to deliver anything to apartment buildings (I don't get it, it takes more time to fill out one of those slips than it does to ring the doorbell, but it happens a times per month). These issues never pop up with any other delivery service, but for some reason USPS really struggles at delivering packages.

I am almost 100% sure someone working in the office or a mail carrier stole my package. Hopefully they start hiring better people before someone gets locked up.

I've been going to the post office there for 26 years and I never had a problem I like to please and it's not really crowded in and out in 5-6 minutes

Package supposedly delivered though it was I was home when I got the notification and I could not locate any package. USPS was no help in investigating and attributed cause to “porch pirates.” Manager at the office was courteous and helpful and offered to hold future packages at USPS office for pick up by calling ahead, however they could not refund me despite package being insured up to $100.

I went in to pick up a package and they proceeded to half check and say it wasn’t there. They also didn’t verify my address correctly and essentially the manager and the employee deflected the situation. I wanted my package and instead them saying yes or no, we were both talking in circles. I don’t understand how these people have gotten away with working there for so long and continually exasperate unneeded stress.
