I’ve used this USPS location for the past few years as my go-to for mailing and returns, and I’ve only ever had great experiences! The clerks at the window are kind, knowledgeable, and patient with the customers.

Lisa B. at the Schuyllkill (3005 Grays Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19146) USPS location on December 22, 2023 at 3:31pm ET was extremely rude, unprofessional, unhelpful and condescending. Instead of helping, she immediately told me we couldn’t help and then yelled at me for pointing out HER attitude. I was simply trying to find a lost package and she immediately told me it wasn’t there and offered no help. She quickly escalated the situation and made a stressful situation MUCH worse.

Closes randomly without notice. I witnessed the lady behind the gate openly ignore customers, including a woman with a baby, after responded to someone else.

Who ever the new mail carrier is when our mail lady is out has been leaving the apt building mail tied to the outside door handle we have mail boxes in side the original mail lady comes inside not sure why the others are not delivering are mail correctly but this is not safe it’s so many people who walk pass and will steal and if I have to call and report it I will there is a big sign outside the door saying don’t leave mail out side of this happen again I will call the post office and report the carrier that day !

I’m out of the city awhile but now coming back bc my parents are living in this area now. Yesterday, I visited this office and had the opportunity to visit this po. I was standing in a far area trying to figure out what each of the mailing option means. The lady was in her check out booth and asked me what can she do to help? I was taken aback bc in philly I rarely get this kind of care lol. She was very thorough and kind, with patience she explained the difference mailing option. Other times I visited the place, the other ladies were nice too! So today I want to let you know, caring and being kind actually make a difference in someone’s moment. Thank you for being you!

Update 5/15/23 Once again, the post office wasn’t open today (Monday) after I drove all the way there. What is going on at this post office? There were three people standing at the door complaining when I arrived. Many people in this neighborhood don’t have a car, so the option to drive to another post office isn’t realistic for them. Also, many people rely on this location for money orders in which to pay their rent, bills, etc. How are they supposed to pay their bills, when the post office randomly closes with no advance notice? The post office on Grey’s Ferry Ave in Philadelphia is closed every time I go there due to “staffing issues.” They leave a note on the door to inform people- no update on the website, and the phone doesn’t ring when you call to check if they’re open. How is this acceptable? The USPS needs to get their act together and do their job.
