We enjoyed the nights there. Close to city centre. Maybe a bit of noise from the AC at the roof top at the back. The key to the lift was sometimes not working properly. Breakfast was ok. Overall we were quite satisfied.

When it rains, leaks fall in your room. I don't know if it happens in all of them, but in my case I left my suitcase and it wet everything with important things that you can't imagine that's going to happen to your room.

Great location...close to downtown attractions, restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Hotel is beautiful, rooms are nice. The restaurant/bar leaves a lot to be desired as far as service. Dinner service took over 2 hours, people ordered, got their drinks and never saw a server for over 30 minutes, they got up and left. Can't blame them. Also this restaurant does not accept credit cards (no explanation). Oh well, we will stay here again... just won't waste our time trying to get a meal here.

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. The first visit was amazing and made it an easy choice to select this hotel upon my reunion. Unfortunately to my surprise this would NOT be the same type of visit.I only stayed one night and arrived very late (after 10 pm). I immediately asked for a late check out and was told that 12 pm (only one hr past checkout) was available although I am a Wyndham member and had traveled from 500 miles away.To my surprise I went to the room and immediatiely wanted to take a hot shower only to notice hair all throughout the bathroom amongst other areas that seemed a bit unsanitary in the room. I was disgusted after spending $250 for a King sized bed and $38 dollars for overnight self parking. Unfortunately I was unable to post the pictures of hair in the sink, tub, or throughout the bathroom because there is no option for adding pictures. ?This is overpriced, unreasonable, and irresponsible for such poor quality and high prices. I have left pics of the hair as evidence. Hopefully they will do better with such high prices and expectations.Rooms: Much smaller King Sized room that last time. Bathrooms were NOT thoroughly cleaned.

The hotel was old but clean. We called when at the airport and requested an early check in, we gave them time we would be arriving and as soon as we walked in they had our room ready. We saw absolutely no rodents, we had hot water, lots of towels, the front staff was awesome, house keeping came on day requested, friendly and helpful, the heat worked, the road noise was not bad and comfortable beds we slept great. Very close to historical places. Would definitely stay again. Also loved the grab and go option, it was super helpful the first day when we were so tired we didn't want to leave the hotel but just wanting something to snack on.

We stayed here for one night under a wedding block. Not only did they mess up our reservation (said we no showed and had a different guest under our room number), they charged our credit card to a completely different room for double the amount in ADDITION to charging our room for a one night stay. We immediately addressed this with the hotel at check out, and a very kind employee at the front desk did her best to help. However, the problem was so complicated it was above her abilities to completely fix. We are still fighting with Wyndham billing now. This experience will probably have us avoid using Wyndham again in the future. Moral of the story, be veryyyyy mindful of your credit card statements!

I stayed there for 2 nights. On the day of my check out walking out of the bathroom I saw a RAT!! YES!!! I have travel so much and I never saw one at a hotel. PLEASE RECONSIDER if you will stay here. Not worth it. I slept for 2 nights in a very gross room, rats carry diseases and they are just gross. This hotel needs an inspection from health department right away. I'm worry for all the new guests staying there Please people, RECONSIDER THIS STAY

Possibly one of the most disappointing hotel stays of my adult life! We were attending a wedding; my family had 2 rooms and about 2 dozen others had rooms in the Wyndam in the historic section of Philadelphia. I REALLY wanted to love this place!!! I'd be remiss if I didn't relate that most of the staff (except the surly security guard in the lobby) were outstanding and he rooms were nicely appointed with comfy bedding. Unfortunately there seemed to be some serious staffing issues ... sadly, they still charged the "were-a-fully-staffed, full-service-hotel" price. Unfortunately, upon arriving and parking we noticed that the bottom floors of the parking garage were under construction, there were a number of what appeared to be abandoned cars covered in dust lining 2 floors of roped-off parking that gave the garage a dirty, unsafe look. After parking as high up as possible to avoid the construction debris and then finding our way to the elevator we were greeted with a sign noting that the operators of the sketchy garage were not responsible for a litany of possible crimes. There was a sign at check in suggesting that we had to "ask" for room service, etc. ... which we did. We never received even so much as a phone call or fresh washcloth and I never saw anyone on our floor. Our first night we ventured out for some famous Philly cheesesteaks that we bought back to the hotel. We took our cheesesteaks to an out of the way area between the check in lobby and their restaurant "Coins" and began eating our cheesesteaks. After we'd been eating about 5 minutes the surly security guard walked over and told us we couldn't eat in the lobby and sanctimoniously pointed to a sign INSIDE the restaurant area suggesting the "No Outside Food" could be consumed in the restaurant area. We of course were well outside the restaurant boundaries. The next day, the day of the black-tie wedding my wife started to shower only to discover that there was NO hot water!!! She had to improvise. None of these things were serious or dangerous issues but the context of all of these disappointments definitely took away some of the joy from our stay for our dear friends' wedding. I would not have expected this level of disappointment from a Wyndham property.

I recently went to this hotel and stayed for 1 night. 1st off the website never said you had to pay for parking and that as soon as you walk in you have to pay 50 dollars for incidentals.. Me and my family were very confused because all hotels we have ever been to make us pay after. When we got back to the hotel from an event we were at, it was about midnight.. my family was tired, over the day, and ready to sleep. We were ready to settle in when all of the sudden a mouse was running around our room. We went down to the front desk and the employees were very accommodating and gave us a different room to stay in for the night. In that room, it was okay until I was also hearing noises of movement in the middle of the night when everyone else was sleeping. I don’t know if there was a mouse but unfortunately, I was really uncomfortable with this stay. There were also stains on the blanket and the rooms were a little dirty and unwelcoming. Despite my stay, the location of the hotel is amazing because you can get to see the history of the city.

Very poor experience overall. Smoke alarm battery backup is failing in my room. I let the front desk know at 12 noon. 5 hours later still not fixed. Called front desk asked for Hotel manager, she was very rude and hung up on me. She said engineer was on his way, that was 30 minutes ago.Hotel could use a renovation badly.I was in room #416. Over the span of four days in mid-October I took 6 showers all of them in cold water. There was no hot water available regardless of how long you ran it.Restaurant only accepts MasterCard and serves only beer or wine.On my first night someone had set the room alarm clock to go off at 3:00 AM.On a regular basis’ restaurant opens 30 minutes late instead of 0630 it was always a bit after 7:00 AM.I saw rats ? in my room several times. Several of my co-workers also reported seeing rats in their rooms. There was clearly plenty of food behind furniture (see picture).Sharp pieces of metal protruding from bathroom tile (see pictures).Do not use the dresser for clothing the drawers were very difficult to open.Lastly after the experience with the smoke alarm on my third day their I needed to use the in room safe. Well guess what dead battery . I was leaving for a morning meeting and I didn’t have an extra 6 hours to wait for service like the smoke alarm.Bathtub is filthyBed skirt is filthyThis is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.Caveat EmptorI advise not staying here.

First, the staff was excellent. However, the night before my wedding, I was woken by a sound that turned out to be a mouse eating through a paper bag that i had a few granola bars and apples in. We were moved to another room quickly. However, two nights later, two of my wedding guest were still at the hotel and informed me that they had a mouse in their room as well, 5 floors above where our encounter had been.Clearly they have a serious vermin issue they need to deal with and they need to tell people staying there not to have any food in their room or it will attract the resident mice.

We came for the Eagles game. Had a great time at the game and returned to some evidence that a critter had been in our room. Both of these items were closed when we left. To accommodate, they changed our room and discounted the 2nd night. I thought they would refund the entire stay. The hotel is extremely dated.

We spent three nights in this hotel. The service is at a high level and very friendly. We really felt very comfortable here from the first day. The hotel is located near the historic district, with many restaurants and shops. The rooms are very clean and cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem is the old air conditioning which is very noisy. During the day it is not a problem, but at night it is very disturbing. However, we will come back here next time.Nearby activities: Hotel is situated next historical part of Philadelphia.

The staff at the hotel is a friendly group and they seem to be trying to assist people the best they can. The rest of the Wyndham experience was pretty terrible. First we spent weeks trying to add another night to a one night reservation. No one was able to assist us in adding another night. We called several times and whatever system they use for reservations was unable to assist us. We even talked to the cooperate reservation center and they were not able to help us.Upon arrival we were not able to check in early and we were told to wait for our rooms and we would be called when they were ready, and our names were added into their systems que. Come 4pm we watched as other arriving guest were given rooms as we waited and waited. Eventually we got our rooms, but by now we were late to a 5pm wedding rehearsal.Lastly, at least twice our room keys just stopped working. I do know it's possible for credit cards to cause room keys to stop working, however, several people in our group had their keys go down at the same time. I will be finding a different Philly hotel in the future.
