I filled out the paperwork for my disabled father through the DAV over a year ago. Nothing has been done and they haven’t returned my phone calls.

Avoid at all costs. Theybdonliterally nothing to help veterans and constantly give you the run around or piss poor attitudes on the phone. People like this are why 22 vets a day commit suicide.

Unfortunately, I am a lifetime member of DAV. When I try to reach out for their help in Pittsburgh the only get emails amd mailing requesting more money from the HQ. Now I have to go to an attorney for assistance and they will take a big chunk . Do yourself a favor, join another veteran organization.
